It will soon be time to head back to Bright Falls and relive the incredibly unique experience that is Alan Wake. Remedy Entertainment is remastering the original game to bring it to a whole new audience.

Back in 2010 when the game was initially released, it was only available on Xbox 360 and PC. A PlayStation port was rumoured for years but never materialised. The idea of a remake or remaster has also been thrown around liberally but has only just come to fruition.

Here's everything you need to know about the Alan Wake Remaster ahead of release...

Alan Wake Remastered Release Date

Alan Wake Remastered will release on Tuesday, 5th October. It's been a super short turnaround from the games initial reveal though to release. We saw the official reveal during the PlayStation Showcase last month. This came just days after it had leaked via a Taiwanese Rakuten site.

Once we had the official reveal, Remedy Creative Director Sam Lake posted a passionate open letter to fans through the long-standing fan site The Sudden Stop.

Lake also recently took to Twitter and TikTok to promote the game by jumping in a lake! He can be seen in the freezing body of water struggling to get his word out but still wielding the iconic thermos flask collectable from within the game.

Fans of the game can't wait to jump back into the spooky action-adventure game. Those new to the franchise will be in for a treat. With the graphical improvements available thanks to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, Alan Wake will truly be able to reach its potential.

The game will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC exclusively on the Epic Games Store.
