Most people don't like Monday's, the weekend is over and the work week begins, and it is the furthest point from the next weekend.
There is a band called The Happy Monday's, but we suspect they're lying to themselves.
But if you're missing the weekend and need to put a smile on your face, then here are some games that are sure to do that.
The Simpsons Hit and Run
This one is definitely more appealing if you happen to love The Simpsons, but who doesn't?
The Simpsons Hit and Run is essentially GTA with a Simpsons skin.
Players take control of members of the Simpson family as they travel around Springfield completing missions.
Games based on movies and TV shows usually aren't that great, but Hit and Run manages to tick all of the boxes and stays very true to The Simpsons formula.
It is sure to put a smile on your face.
If a shot of adrenaline is needed to get you through Monday, then a battle royale end game is the way to go.
Battle royale games give players once opportunity to outlast their opponents.
This makes it very high action and a game that gets the blood pumping.
The end game is very intense because after 15-20 of surviving, it is now do or die as the Victory Royale is within your reach, and who can be sad at winning?
We chose Fortnite over other BR games mainly because it is more colourful than other BR games.
But if you really don't like Fortnite then substitute it for your favourite battle royale title.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Animal Crossing: New Horizons released at the perfect time.
Releasing in March 2020 just as the world got flipped upside down, the game was a crutch for so many people to get through the difficult times.
Animal Crossing allows the player to basically live out their own virtual life on a small island where you can build your own house, farm crops, collect rocks, and just go exploring and have fun.
It's a very laid back game, and a nice change of pace from the usual high action games.
If it doesn't manage to put a smile on your face, at the very least it'll take your mind off your troubles, but I think you'll love this game, even my 74 year old grandmother is addicted to playing Animal Crossing.
Rayman Legends is a truly underrated platformer.
Despite being very well liked and critically acclaimed, it isn't a game that is talked about often enough.

With charming level design, great humour, and a fantastic soundtrack, Rayman Legends is sure to put a smile on your face.
And, if my opinion, is the best platformer that isn't from the Super Mario franchise.
PaRappa The Rapper
PaRappa The Rapper is another game that isn't talked about nearly enough.
Originally released on the PS1 during the 90s, it can now be purchased on the PlayStation Store on PS4 and PS5.
It is a rhythm game, but don't worry you just your controller.
PaRappa goes through various stages from a dojo where you are taught karate by an onion, to getting your drivers license by taking lessons from a moose.

The end goal is to win the heart of Sunny, a sun flower.
PaRappa The Rapper is a very charming game and one that is definitely worth a playthrough.
There is also a sequel that was released on the PS2, but can also be found on the PlayStation Store.
Super Mario Odyssey
It would be hard to create this list without including Super Mario.
Super Mario is the face of video games, and with good reason.
For 35 years the plumber from New York has brought joy to millions of people and his latest adventure in Super Mario Odyssey is no different.
The game follows the usual formula, but it works so why change it.
However, Odyssey ramps up the charm to a whole new level.
The game is full of so many charming characters and the level design is fantastic, it's hard to play this game without having a constant smile on your face.
New Donk City is the highlight of the game, especially with its show tune theme song.
This is an essential game for all Nintendo Switch players and if you don't own a Switch, this would be a perfect time to buy one.
Untilted Goose Game
Who would have thought that being a goose in a video game would be so much fun.
Untitled Goose Game was a surprising smash hit when it launched a couple of years ago.
A very charming game with lots of subtle humour and entertaining moments.
There is no way that you can't not smile playing this game.
Exercise is one of the best ways to lift your mood and feel happier.
But let's face it, exercise is boring for most people.
Pokemon Go allows you to exercise while also keeping your brain engaged.

By walking around the real world, players can find and catch hundreds of different Pokemon to add to their collection.
There are also gyms where players can have off against other teams, and raids where players come together to take down strong Pokemon.
Forza Horizon 4
Speed and adrenaline go hand in hand, there's nothing like tearing it up at 100mph round a race track or through the rocky mountains with another racer hot on your heels, even if it is in a video game.
Driving in your favourite car and beating your opponents is a great pick me up.
You can substitute Forza Horizon 4 with your favourite racing game, whether it's Gran Turismo, Dirt, F1 or something else.
Your Favourite Game
We could list dozens of games that make you happy, but no game will ever make you as happy as your favourite one.
Whether that is exploring Hyrule in Ocarina of Time, saving Princess Peach in Super Mario, or trying to be the best like no one ever was in Pokemon, no other game will bring you the same level of joy.
There is a reason why you fell in love with that game and playing it again can remind you why, and also bring back lots of happy memories.
So if you're feeling down and need a boost, pop in your favourite game and relive your favourite gaming experience again.
