Top 5 Teams to rebuild in Madden 23 Franchise Mode

As we continue to play through the various game modes, we find ourself playing Madden 23 Franchise Mode quite a lot.

It's a fun mode, especially when you're working on rebuilding a team instead of taking over the best teams in the league.

Here are the top five teams to rebuild in Franchise Mode.

Top 5 Teams to Rebuild in Madden 23 Franchise Mode

When we use the term "rebuild" we don't mean taking demolishing the entire team and starting from scratch. We mean using the best pieces of the team and building a championship roster around them.

Teams such as the New England Patriots won't make this list since they're already on their way to the top of the AFC East. However, a team like the New York Jets definitely falls into this category.

FRANCHISE MODE: Build your team around the best players in your lineup.

Now, there are other teams that we feel require a lot more work, such as the Detriot Lions, who have found themselves without a franchise quarterback.

Rebuilding a team in Madden 23 Franchise Mode isn't easy, so we're going to give you a few teams that we think would be slightly challenging but fun at the same time.

Cleveland Browns (84 OVR)

On Madden 23 Franchise Mode, the Cleveland Browns are rated 84 OVR. However, there are a few pieces that we'd get rid of which could lower the ratings.

There's one person you need to keep in this lineup for sure, Nick Chubb. Immediately trade away Deshaun Watson and Jacoby Brissett and complete a trade with the Arizona Cardinals for Kyler Murray.

REBUILDING THE BROWNS: Focus on defense and an efficient offense

Defensively, the Browns are already set to be a strong team. They have Myles Garrett, a member of the 99 Club and Denzel Ward, who is a 92 OVR CB.

Focus on your rushing game behind the 96 OVR Nick Chubb and take the Cleveland Browns to the top of Madden 23 Franchise Mode.

Miami Dolphins (83 OVR)

You might think that with Tua Tagovialoa and Tyreek Hill, this team doesn't need to be rebuilt but we'd argue otherwise.

Tagovailoa is only a 75 OVR QB and you could probably trade him and a few draft picks for a more established veteran, perhaps someone like Derek Carr.

BUILT AROUND HILL: Get Tyreek a QB that can throw far down the field

From there, you'll need to target the running back position through the Madden 23 Franchise Mode Draft or Free Agency. We'd suggest trying to land Alexander Mattison from the Minnesota Vikings for late-round draft picks.

Miami is filled with strong defensive players, they just need a few more pieces and moves on offense.

New York Jets (79 OVR)

We won't sugarcoat it, this is going to be a tough team to rebuild but the New York Jets have a few pieces that can definitely work well together.

Your highest overall player is Quinnen Williams, who is 86 OVR at the DT position. The first position you'll have to address is the QB spot.

JETS REBUILD: New York has a few players worth building around

Zach Wilson, 73 OVR, is the starting quarterback at the moment for the New York Jets. We would suggest not trading him but instead building a play-action/run-based offense to help him develop.

Keep in mind that veteran Joe Flacco is behind him in the depth chart and could be a placeholder until you draft a solid QB via Madden 23 Franchise Mode.

Carolina Panthers (79 OVR)

The first thing we would do in Madden 23 Franchise Mode when controlling the Carolina Panthers is trade away Sam Darnold.

Baker Mayfield is more than capable at running an offense and he'll have the help of Christian McCaffrey (96 OVR).

MCCAFFREY'S TEAM: Take the field with one of the best RBs in the game

After trading away Darnold, we'd focus on building a stronger front line for McCaffrey to run behind. We'd head to the NFL Draft and free agency to add a few interior defensive pieces as well.

This is definitely a Madden 23 Franchise Mode team worth rebuilding.

Atlanta Falcons (77 OVR)

Now, this might seem like the toughest Madden 23 challenge because they have the lowest overall rating but this team is young and a few pieces away from popping off.

We'd stick with Marcus Mariota at the QB position and we'd develop Desmond Ridder behind him. Either one of them are great options for a west-coast style offense.

PITTS SQUAD: Kyle Pitts is the perfect player to build this team around

The weapons within the Atlanta Falcons roster are impressive, from the 85 OVR HB Cordarrelle Patterson, 86 OVR WR Calvin Ridley, and 87 OVR Kyle Pitts at the tight end position.

We'd say that this is one of, if not the best team to rebuild in Madden 23 Franchise Mode.
