With the Super Bowl just over the horizon, Madden 22 Update 2.06 has landed on all platforms to bring some new X Factor players into the fold.

Madden 22 Update 2.06 Patch Notes for February 3

While things got a little off track in January, it appears EA is back to their standard monthly Madden 22 Title Update once again with the arrival of Update 2.06.

Players won't have to wait long to download it, as this is a relatively tiny update compared to most for Madden 22.

The download size is just 652.1 MB on PS5 and 747.5 MB on PS4, with likely similar but currently unknown download sizes on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

UNDENIABLE: There's no arguing Jonathan Taylor earned his X Factor

This marks Madden 22 Update 2.06 on PS4 and Xbox One, Madden 22 Update 1.012 on PS5, and Madden 22 Update 1.0.0.14 on Xbox Series X|S.

While separated in the official Gridiron Notes, the patch notes for Update 2.6 are the same across all platforms, as they've chosen not to fix any bugs or add any features in this title update.

Instead, it's focused entirely on adding new X Factor players into Madden 22 as well as demoting a few others as we reach the climax of this year's NFL season.

The Super Bowl is just a few short weeks away, and interestingly enough the only Super Bowl competitor included in this update was Rams offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth.

Despite the Rams doing well enough to make it to the big dance, Whitworth was officially demoted in this update and will no longer have his Superstar abilities.
