While we knew an initial potential release date for Madden 22 Ultimate Season 2, things have been far from concrete in recent days.

Earlier this week on Good Morning Madden, it was indicated that the release date was still in flux and could be delayed until next week.

Fortunately, the episode on Thursday, December 9, 2021 confirmed that the initially scheduled release date will line up.

Ultimate Season 2 is now officially set to launch on Thursday, December 9, 2021, but we don't know what time of day it will deploy.

This kind of content tends to deploy earlier in the day, so we're hoping to see Ultimate Season 2 live before Noon ET.

Madden 22 Ultimate Season 2: Start Date & End Date

When Madden 22 was initially launched, they revealed that MUT 22 would be revamped with Ultimate Season 1 kicking things off.

While Madden 21 used progression like Series 1, Series 2, they've changed that up this year with Ultimate Season 1, Ultimate Season 2, and so on.

At launch, it was stated by EA that the new Ultimate Season structure would see each last about 90 days, which was a significant increase from the 30 to 40 day length of each MUT Series in Madden 21.

Now that we finally have a release date for Madden 22 Ultimate Season 2, it looks like even their 90-day estimate was a bit low.

As confirmed on Good Morning Madden, we should see Madden 22 Ultimate Season 2 go live in-game on Thursday, December 9, 2021.

We don't have an official launch time, but programs like this usually go live earlier in the day, and we could get confirmation when more details about Season 2 are revealed.

As for an end date, we're expecting Madden 22 Ultimate Season 2 to conclude and Ultimate Season 3 to begin around Thursday, March 10, 2022, which would be just a hair over the 90-day window, but we could see an extra week or two tacked onto that length.

MUT 22: Ultimate Season 2 will reset levels and rewards

While new rewards will be key, the biggest impact of the arrival of Madden 22 Ultimate Season 2 will be the levels reset.

All Madden 22 Ultimate Team players will have their Season Level reset the moment Season 2 begins, effectively leveling the playing field while setting up a new path to rewards.
