Week 8 has come to a close in the NFL and we all know what that means! More Madden 22 Roster Updates are on the way!

Each time the rosters are updated in Madden 22, a few players see a boost, while others see a decline. We're going to go over who we think will have their ratings adjusted up and down.

Let's get started with our Madden 22 Roster Update Predictions.

Madden 22 Roster update predictions after Week 8

Now that Week 8 is over, we can take a look at the way certain players performed and predict whether they'll see a boost to their Madden 22 rating.

It isn't always the easiest thing to predict, but there are a few players that stood out this week that we believe will get some love after the update is live.

HUDDLE UP: A few players should receive a nice boost to their Madden 22 ratings

Let's start our predictions with our winners from the Madden 22 roster update.

The Winners

As always, the winners come first and we have a few players who are definitely worthy of a Madden 22 ratings boost.

One of which is the quarterback who showed some real talent and after his performance on Sunday should see a sizable boost. Let's get started with our first prediction for the Madden 22 roster update.

Mike White (QB) - 51 OVR (+2) - New York Jets

It's safe to say that Zach Wilson has likely lost his starting job to Mike White after his performance on Sunday against the Bengals.

White threw for 405 yards, leading the NFL in passing yards for Week 8, and piled three touchdowns on it as well. We expect White's Madden 22 rating to go from a 51 OVR to a 53 OVR this week.

Elijah Mitchell (RB) - 72 OVR (+1) - San Francisco 49ers

Elijah Mitchell proved yet again that he'll be the feature running back for the San Francisco 49ers for a long time. In their win over Chicago, Mitchell showed tenacity against a great rushing defense.

BIG MAN ON CAMPUS: Elijah Mitchell had himself a day on Sunday

Mitchell rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown, leading the NFL rushers for Week 8. He could potentially be on the MUT 22 TOTW 8 as well. His 72 OVR rating should be jumping up at least a point to 73 OVR.

A.J. Brown (WR) - 85 OVR (+2) - Tennessee Titans

A.J. Brown put the team on his back along with superstar Derrick Henry who found himself injured at the end of the game. The passing game for the Titans was incredible and Brown received a lot of attention.

He finished the game with 155 yards receiving and added a touchdown to go along with it. Helping the Titans defeat the Colts 34-31. His Madden 22 rating should see a two-point jump this week.

The Losers

With winners, come losers, and there were some players that had lackluster performances, even though their team might've won.

They shouldn't feel too bad about their Madden 22 rating if it does fall though as they'll have Week 9 to regain some ground.

BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD: These players will need to bounce back in Week 9

Let's take a look at our predictions for the losers for the Madden 22 roster update.

Sam Darnold (QB) - 72 OVR (-1) - Carolina Panthers

This is another week in which Sam Darnold will likely see a drop to his Madden 22 rating. Unfortunately, he just hasn't been able to capture the same magic since the beginning of the season.

MOVING DOWN: Darnold will likely find his overall rating fall after the roster update

He finished the game against the Falcons going 13-24 and 129 yards. He threw zero touchdowns and had a rating of 69.6. Expect his rating to go from a 72 OVR to a 71 OVR.

D'Andre Swift (RB) - 79 OVR (-1) - Detroit Lions

D'Andre Swift actually saw a boost to his rating after the Week 7 roster update was released to Madden 22. However, we believe that he'll have a drop after his performance in Week 8.

On 12 carries, Swift was only able to gain a measly 27 yards, which isn't just his fault. It is, however, his fault that he fumbled the ball on one of those twelve carries. For that reason, we expect D'Andre Swift to drop from a 79 OVR back to a 78 OVR.

Jarvis Landry (WR) - 84 OVR (-1) - Cleveland Browns

Jarvis Landry wasn't the sole reason for the Browns loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, it isn't as if he really helped them much either, especially in such a close game.

Landry had 5 receptions for 65 yards with no touchdowns. His Madden 22 rating will likely suffer because of the fumble he committed that changed the momentum of the game.
