Madden 20: TOTW 3 predictions (Madden Ultimate Team Of The Week) – Mike Evans, Daniel Jones, Shaquil Barrett & more

With new faces and plenty of surprises, who is going to earn a fresh card in MUT this week?

Another week of NFL football is in the books, which means another set of Team Of The Week cards for MUT players to collect and use.

This week saw another stellar show from the Kansas City Chiefs offense and a commanding win by the New England Patriots while the Indianapolis Colts continued their strong start to the season and several of the backup quarterbacks that were forced into action showed what they can do.

However, there were a few standout performances and remarkable players that will warrant the highest TOTW cards. Who are they?

Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LTD) -92 OVR

As the weekends biggest performer, Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans is likely to find himself with this weeks LTD card and a 92 OVR that will make players salivate. With 8 catches, 190 yards, and three scores on Sunday in a losing effort, Evans showed once again why he is one of the most feared playmakers in the NFL and silenced his doubters after a quiet first two weeks.

Daniel Jones, QB, New York Giants (Hero) – 90 OVR

Despite being the 6th overall pick for the New York Giants this year, little was expected of Daniel Jones. When he was named the starter for them last week ahead of franchise icon Eli Manning there was even more laughter, but the only ones with a smile on their face now are Giants fans.

Jones entered his first NFL action and completed 23 of 36 passes for 336 yards and two touchdowns and he ran in another two as the Giants won their first game of the season. Against a competitive Tampa Bay defense Jones looked every bit the NFL quarterback and fought through 5 sacks to take the win.

Shaquil Barrett, LOLB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Hero) – 90 OVR

Another Bucs player, Shaquil Barrett was  responsible for a massive 4 sacks on Sunday, two of which resulted in fumbles and turnovers. If Jones is denied the Hero card it will only be because of Barrett’s enormous impact in the game.

He came away with 6 tackles in all and 5 QB hits on the day, his biggest single-game performance ever and is now clear atop the NFL sack list with 8 on the season.

Keenan Allen, WR, Los Angeles Chargers – 86 OVR

Just missing out of the LTD spot thanks to Mike Evans, Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen had himself a day on Sunday in a losing effort against the Houston Texans. Allen put up 13 catches, 183 yards, and two scores on 17 targets as he took over the game and kept the Chargers offense moving.

Jamal Adams, SS, New York Jets – 86 OVR

The New York Jets quickly fell behind the Patriots in Foxboro on Sunday and were never really in the game, however one player once again made his mark for the Jets defense. Safety Jamal Adams stirred up controversy by removing all mention of the Jets from social media during the week but was on form on Sunday.

He bagged himself the first touchdown of his career, picking off backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham and racing 61 yards to the endzone in the fourth quarter.

Darren Waller, TE, Oakland Raiders – 84 OVR

With just a 67 OVR Core Silver card to his name, Raiders fans will be elated to find a TOTW card for their young tight end. While the Raiders had a miserable trip to Minnesota and lost 34-14, Waller was in sensational form.

The former 6th round pick put up more yards on Sunday than he had in any season previous, reeling in 13 of his 14 targets for 134 yards as the only bright spark for the Oakland side that has slumped to 1-2.

Tre’Davious White, CB, Buffalo Bills – 86 OVR

Tre’Davious White was once again a key player for the Buffalo Bills as they extended their hot start to an unlikely 3-0. His two second-half interceptions were vital for Buffalo, as a 14-0 half-time lead threatened to be flipped on its head by the Cincinnati Bengals.

White’s first pick came on Cincy’s second drive of the third quarter, and his second came on the Buffalo 10-yard line with just 12 seconds left to ice the game and secure the win. White also picked up a tackle for loss and deflected two more passes.
