Latest News: Balance Patches

League of Legends Wild Rift is still coming together with new improvements coming almost weekly.

A recent post from the Wild Rift team revealed the developer's reasonings for future balance patches.

NEW ARRIVAL: Seraphine brings some new flair to League of Legends Wild Rift

The post explained that Wild Rift balance philosophy will match up with League of Legends. That means champions will be balanced according to win rates and pick rates more than anything else.

We also learned that League of Legends' recent item changes aren't coming to Wild Rift exactly, but some changes, like CDR, will end up in Wild Rift.

Release Date

Wild Rift doesn't have a set in stone release date just yet - but we expect it will be 2021 based on the open beta schedule.

COMING SOON...ish?: Wild Rift is still a ways out, but open beta is here to bridge the gap

The open beta schedule is staggered for different regions, which means some will have access before others.

For Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and Timor-Leste, the open beta is live now!

For Europe, Middle East, North Africa, Oceania, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey, and Vietnam, the open beta will go live in early December.

And finally, the short end of the stick goes to the Americas. These regions won't have access to the Wild Rift Beta until Spring 2021!

The cinematic trailer gives us a better idea of which champions will lead the marketing charge. It looks like Jinx will be the face of Wild Rift, which will be a nice change of pace.

Open Beta

The Wild Rift Open Beta is available now in certain regions, and will run until at least Spring 2021.

The open beta is on mobile only, but we expect console players will have their own opportunity to test the game in the near future.

Six more champions have had trial runs for future release, including Akali, Darius, Draven, Evelynn, and Seraphine.
