
The updates during League of Legends' summer won't stop as next in line comes the 12.17 patch.
This brand-new update is slated to introduce a round of changes for Maokai and Hecarim, shift the mid-lane meta with Azir and Ahri nerfs and Kassadin and Twisted Fate buffs, introduce a brand-new skin line, Zenith Games, alongside a new Viego skin, and of course, bring plenty of balancing and tuning for the game.
That being said, here's everything we know so far about LoL 12.17.
UPDATED - Riot reveals official LoL 12.17 Patch Notes
Riot Games has revealed the official LoL 12.17 patch notes.
They include significant updates to Maokai and Hecarim as well as buffs, nerfs, and more to 18 other champions. Additionally, it brings on more balancing to champions in ARAM.

LoL 12.17 Release Date
Adhering to the League of Legends patch schedule, LoL 12.16 is set to release on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
Once the patch is live, players will be able to enjoy the Maokai's changes and the new Zenith Games and Viego skins, as well as plenty of buffs, nerfs, and overall changes from its patch notes.

LoL 12.17 Patch Notes
League of Legends' next update is set to bring tons of changes. It'll include a possible shift in the mid-lane meta with nerfs to Azir and Ahri and buffs to Kassadin and Twisted Fate, updates to Maokai, Miss Fortune, and Hecarim, and much more.
Thanks to Riot Phroxzon, we have the initial patch notes for the LoL 12.17 update. Here's what it all looks like.
Maokai Changes arrive with LoL 12.17
As a part of this update, Maokai is undergoing some changes. These are being made in order to get a champion who's moved over to the support role over time back into his native top lane and jungle.
Here's what the numbers are looking like for Maokai's changes.
Passive - Sap Magic
- [NEW] TREES STRIKE BACK: Getting hit by large jungle monsters now reduces Sap Magic’s cooldown by 1.5 seconds per attack received

Hecarim changes arrive with LoL 12.17
Looking to place these champions back into their intended roles, a set of adjustments are coming to Hecarim in LoL 12.17
The changes will move the champion who teeters between tank and assassin back into more of a bruiser.

LoL 12.17 Skins
Following Riot's trend of bringing in new skins with its updates, we have an idea of which skins are coming in the new patch.
So far, LoL 12.17 is bringing four total skins, three Zenith Games, and one standalone.
Zenith Games Skins 2022
From the Arcana and Ocean Song skins in earlier patches to recently released Monster Tamers and Steel Valkyries, there have been tons of brand-new skin lines arriving in League of Legends in Season 12.
This trend will continue with the new Zenith Games line.
Blitzcrank, Lee Sin, and Jayce will be suiting up for what seems to be a futuristic sports environment.
It is expected that most, if not all, of these skins, will rock a 1350 RP price tag, however, this has yet to be confirmed.

King Viego
Alongside the Zenith Games skins, Riot is releasing a standalone skin for Viego, dubbed King Viego.
