Ryan "Reav3" Mireles gives us the lowdown on some new League of Legends champions coming in the Preseason 2023. One of the new champions is a brand new Darkin assassin.
That's right. A Darkin champion! Fans of the lore have waited a long time for any more Darkin assassins to be released. Well, now this has all changed with some details of the newest champion being given to us doting fans. There isn't a lot to go on. However, some hints from Ryan give us some great things to chat about.
So, let's take a look at what details we have and what we can picture the new champion to be like.

A dog champion?
Ryan Mireles is not the most subtle man. During the Preseason 2023 trailer we were bombarded with pup-related puns. From the community who 'hounds me' to the community wanting him to 'throw me a bone here'. One thing for sure is that we are all 'barkin' for some Darkin'.
Darkin weapon
So, if you haven't figured it out already, it's looking like we'll be getting a dog or wolf-themed Darkin assassin. Also, Ryan then went into detail about the weapon that the Darkin is trapped in. It is a dagger but we do not yet know who is wielding it.
However, we were lucky enough to see a photo which shows the dagger. A green eye can be seen looking out of the weapon. Of course, the Darkin theme has been heavily stuck to here. Additionally, the sand around the weapon could provide some information as to who will be wielding the weapon. perhaps they are from Shurima?
A Riot employee also revealed that the new champion would be female.
Unfortunately, this is the only information that we currently have for this new champion. However, it is enough for us to get our teeth stuck in the meantime.
