The playoffs will adhere to the previous split's format. This means a double-elimination bracket for the top six seeds with the top two teams from the regular season earning first-round byes, and a single-elimination clash for the seventh and eighth seeds.

The first seed will be able to choose which side of the bracket to play through once Week 8 concludes.

Once the LCS Champion is crowned, they will be joined by the 2nd and 3rd place teams as North America's representatives at the 2022 World Championship.

LCS 2022 Midseason Roster Changes

Although there weren't many midseason roster changes in the LCS this season, the moves made could be considered fairly significant.

Teams like Cloud9 and Immortals took their previous split's performances to heart and went big while teams like Team SoloMid, Golden Guardians, and Dignitas decided to make only one change.

Cloud9 put their now former mid-laner Ibrahim "Fudge" Allami back in the top lane and welcomed back mid-laner Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen", and Jesper "Zven" Svenningsen, this time in the support role.

Immortals on the other hand welcomed three new players, jungler Shane Kenneth "Kenvi" Espinoza, ADC Lawrence "Lost" Sze Yuy Hui, and support Lee "IgNar" Dong-geun.

Dignitas welcomed back top laner Noh "Gamsu" Yeong-jin, while Golden Guardians put former positional coach Trevor "Stixxay" Hayes back in the ADC position.

Lastly, Team SoloMid shocked the entire league by bringing in former LMS superstar mid-laner Huang "Maple" Yi-Tang.

LCS 2022 Summer Split Predictions

The LCS is always fierce competition, but it's clear there are some teams that are simply a cut above the rest. These include Evil Geniuses, 100 Thieves, Team Liquid, and Cloud9.

It's safe to say that one of these teams will most likely see yet another LCS crown in the 2022 Summer Split.

Of the bunch, we expect Team Liquid will rise to the occasion for another Split victory this time around.

Team Liquid showed glimpses of their potential quality by first winning the LCS 2022 Lock-In tournament. This was later followed up with massive performances in the Spring Split playoffs before falling to the eventual winners, Evil Geniuses.

The Spring Split was a painful lesson for this current Team Liquid roster, and we expect that will help them push to make something special out of the Summer Split, securing the trophy in the end.
