When does Halo Infinite come out?

The Microsoft Store page for Halo Infinite has been updated recently and it's displaying a new release date - December 8th, 2021. As you can see below, it's straight from the source...

The Microsoft Store listing for Halo Infinite has been around since the middle of last year, but it had only displayed a placeholder release date. However, the entire listing was updated a little while ago with a new Game Description, screenshots, and this new release date.

This means we could still see Halo Infinite during Gamescom 2021 - Opening Night Live is due to start soon...

When does Opening Night Live actually start?

Geoff Keighley is hosting this year's Opening Night Live and it's due to take place at the following times:

  • 11:00 August 25th - PST
  • 14:00 August 25th - EST
  • 19:00 August 25th - BST

Keighley has confirmed that Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Far Cry 6, a new Saints Row game, Genshin Impact, and more are due to appear during the showcase. We're also hoping titles like Gotham Knights and Ghostwire Tokyo will make an appearance but this is a bit more of a speculative long-shot.

If Halo Infinite does appear, expect it to be plastered all over Xbox's official social media channels. They're the best place to keep an eye out for news.
