As fun as the basic rifle is in Halo Infinite's multiplayer, the gadgets and other weapons available are brilliant too. Now that the multiplayer has released early, you'll want to try out all of the options available. If you've seen people grappling across the maps and want to try it yourself, here's a quick guide on how to get the grappling hook in Halo Infinite.
The grappling hook simply lets you get around the maps quickly and out of danger. It can't be used to attack, and is best used as a way to out manoeuvre enemy players.
How to Get Grappling Hook in Halo Infinite
The grapple works in exactly the same way as all other items in Halo Infinite. You'll be able to find it hovering over the ground over little blue pads.
You're looking for the exact item in the screenshot below, as that's the grappling hook.
While that may make it seem easy to find, it isn't. Of all the items you can find in Halo Infinite, it's one of the rarest. We went a few matches without finding a single one. Keep looking around, though, and you'll find it eventually.
If you're not already carrying an item, simply run over it and it'll be added to your loadout. If you have something else already, just press X when next to it to swap it in.
How to Use Grapple
The grappling hook in Halo Infinite is also used in the same way as all other gadgets. You simply need to press RB to use them.
In the case of the grappling hook, just look at a ledge or somewhere else you want to go and hold RB. Keep it held while going along the grappling hook line, and let go when you want to hop off.
The grappling hook can only be used three time before you lose it and dying will see you lose it too. Just find it around the map to use it again.
