How to Get a Custom License Plate in GTA Online

As GTA Online Los Santos Tuners kicks into gear (get it?) we want to make sure your incredible car collection stands out from the crowd. You have access to customisation options of course, but one thing that will really add that finishing touch to a car is a custom license plate.

Here's how you can create your own custom license plate and put it on your GTA Online car collection.

How to Create a Custom License Plate

The first step is to create your plate and this is not done in GTA Online or GTA 5. Instead, you must download the separate iFruit app from the iOS or Google Play store.

Once you have the app downloaded, log into it using your Rockstar Social Club details and select the platform you play on. Once the app loads you then want to head to the LS Customs section in the top left corner.

This will then take you to your garage and show you the car you're currently using in Story Mode as well as your active GTA Online car. Tap on the GTA Online vehicle to be taken to the customisation screen then tap on the license plate in the top right-hand corner.

Create your custom plate by changing the text and plate appearance, once ready you can head back to the customise screen and hit 'order'. If you do not do this, the custom plate will be lost. Pay for your order and receive your invoice to confirm it's all gone through.

How to Use Your Customer GTA Online License Plate

Your custom license plate will not be available in GTA Online straight away, it can take a couple of hours to appear. Once you think it may be ready, head to any Los Santos Customs on the map and select the plates option.

In here will be the standard license plates but now a private plate option appears, which is your custom licence plate. Pop this on the car and just like that, your vehicle is unique and stands out from any other in GTA Online.
