Will GTA 6 be revealed at E3 2021?

GTA 6 is perhaps the most highly anticipated game of all time, with millions of gamers eagerly awaiting any scrap of news or leak to be revealed.

It has been over seven years since the last entry in the series, GTA V, was first released, so it is understandable that fans are more than ready for a new game.

But, could GTA 6 be set to be revealed at E3 2021 next month?

Will GTA 6 Be Revealed At E3 2021?

E3 is the hottest event of the year in the gaming industry, with companies across the world coming together to showcase new games and hardware that will be released over the next year and beyond.

The event has been home to some of the biggest announcements and reveals, with the reveals of the PS4, Halo Infinite, Twilight Princess, and GTA 4 being just some of the notable reveals over the years.

With the rise in popularity of companies hosting their own online events, similar to the Nintendo Direct presentation, there is less of a need to hold back all of the announcements for one single event.

By holding their own events throughout the year, it can help avoid being overshadowed or lost in the shuffle when there are dozens of events taking place over a very small time frame.

But, after last year's event was cancelled, both fans and companies are eager for E3 2021 and it is set to include some major reveals if the leaks and rumours are correct.

As expected, some fans are looking towards E3 as a potential place for Rockstar and Take-Two to finally reveal GTA 6.

However, it is extremely unlikely that we will see the game announced during the event.

Neither GTA V nor Red Dead Redemption 2 were revealed at E3, with Rockstar opting to make the announcements on their own platforms.

Instead, it is likely we could find out more information for the next-gen GTA V Expanded & Enhanced edition, which is due to be released later this year.

It would also make more sense to reveal GTA 6 after the release of this game, as players may be less inclined to purchase yet another port of GTA V if they knew the next entry in the series was right around the corner.

We do know that Take-Two Interactive will be at E3 2021, likely to promote titles such as NBA 2K22 and WWE 2K22, but it is likely that we will see GTA V Expanded & Enhanced at the event. Only time will tell.
