Last week, prominent leaker, Tom Henderson, revealed that he's heard that GTA 6 will not release until 2025, rather than the previously rumoured 2023.

He's known for his Battlefield and Call of Duty leaks, but has recently expanded his coverage into Grand Theft Auto, so some degree at least.

Now, other well connected journalists have begun to corroborate Henderson's claims, suggesting that GTA 6's release date really is set for 2025.

GTA 6 2025 Release Date

Jason Schreier was the first person to back up the claims in a tread involving Henderson, saying:

"Idk why everyone thinks that I said GTA VI was coming in 2023. Everything Tom Henderson has said about the game matches up with what I've heard."

Schreier is one of the most reliable new sources in the industry and has broken stories about games in all genres - so it adds real weight to Henderson's initial claim.

And now, Andy Robinson, who is Editor over at Video Games Chronicle, has also claimed that he's heard the same information.

He quote tweeted VGC's article on the rumours and wrote:

"I can also throw my hat in the ring for this: these details match what I've heard about GTA6."

Robinson has proven reliable in the past too, having broken stories about Warzone's new map and zombies event earlier in 2021, among other big news stories.

This also suggests that Henderson could be a reliable source for GTA 6 information as we get closer to its reveal and release.

That being said, Henderson himself has said that you shouldn't expect any more GTA 6 news from him any time soon. He tweeted:

"People are assuming I'm now on the GTA 6 leak bandwagon and I'll upload crap for the next 3-4 years, but no, I've reported on what I've heard and that's probably it now until at least next year, because I can't see anything releasing before then. It's been fun though!"

He'll likely stick to his wheelhouses of Call of Duty and Battlefield, since the next games in those series are closer to releasing than GTA 6.

It doesn't tell us anything at all, but one thing Henderson did do was draw a "concept of a concept" for GTA 6, which you can see below.

Hopefully we'll hear a lot more at GTA 6 in the near future.
