GTA 5 normally releases it's weekly update to GTA Online on Thursday mornings, but ahead of time Rockstar couldn't wait and pushed a small background update to the game.
The news, first spotted by Rockstar Games insider @TezFunz2, appears to have only rolled out in the last couple of hours (at the time of writing).
For those curious to know exactly what's changed, the Rockstar Games aficionado was all too happy to oblige.
The main changes noticed so far include the following tweaks to GTA Online gameplay:
- Submarine can no longer be instantly destroyed by one Molotov.
- Patched dupe merge glitch
- Adjustments/fixes to freemode events spawns (Patrick McReary event, BBs ..etc)
For clarity, one Twitter user followed up to check that the merge glitch had indeed been patched out, to which Tez replied:
"Yes, the workaround is patched, until a new workaround comes out and the cycle repeats itself."
It's quite possible there are plenty more changes under the hood which the community have yet to spot, but we'll be sure to update this page should any further tweaks come to light.
In the meantime, it seems like as good an opportunity to remind players to make sure they grab everything need want ahead of the Thursday update going live tomorrow morning.
Over the past 6 days in GTA Online players could pick up a variety of discounts across the game.
All of which can be viewed on the link to our GTA Online Weekly Update from last Thursday.
Looking ahead to the future there's also been a lot of speculation that GTA 6 might be revealed at the Superbowl this Sunday.
Sounds like nonsense if you ask this writer.
