Grand Theft Auto 6 is one of the most highly anticipated titles in recent memory and there are questions being asked as to whether we might see GTA 6 on Nintendo Switch.
It's been almost a full eight years since Grand Theft Auto 5 was released and since then, the Nintendo Switch has shot to become one of the most popular consoles of all time.

Below, we're asking and possibly answering the question on whether GTA 6 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch when it releases.
Nintendo Switch Release
As a company, it's safe to say that Nintendo is traditionally geared towards family-friendly titles.
However, the recent addition of games like DOOM Eternal and The Witcher 3 has prompted discussions about whether the Nintendo Switch is a viable alternative to Xbox or PlayStation consoles.
Rockstar and Nintendo also have a bit of history, with GTA (1997) releasing on the Game Boy and GTA: Chinatown Wars being a timed-exclusive for the Nintendo DS.
This means the question as to whether GTA 6 will be released on the Nintendo Switch isn't the most outrageous one to be asking ahead of launch.
There are a few factors that might suggest otherwise, though...
GTA 5 Isn't On Switch
Rockstar's GTA 5 has been out for eight years and has released on (almost) three generations of consoles.
In that time, there has been ample time to adapt the game to the Nintendo Switch.
However, we have to talk about Nintendo's desired public image as one of the primary reasons as to why this is highly unlikely.
Other 18-rated games have been released on the Nintendo Switch, but Grand Theft Auto titles are a different level.
Not only do they show real-world violence, but they are jam-packed with controversial themes and taboos.
GTA 5 features drug use, prostitution, bribery, torture, murder... All classically GTA things but not something you'd expect to see on a Nintendo Switch. Especially not in the high fidelity that GTA 5 would offer.
This being said, L.A. Noire, Rockstar's crime thriller, did make it to the Nintendo Switch so it isn't completely outside the realms of possibility.
At its' smallest, Grand Theft Auto 5 clocks in ar around 76GB of storage space.
Given the fact that the Nintendo Switch has base storage of about 32GB, this is obviously a bit big.
That being said, The Witcher 3 was ported to the Nintendo Switch and clocks in at 28.1GB. This is a little less than the game on Steam, for example.
It is possible to condense the file size of a game and port it to the Nintendo Switch, but the fact that GTA 5 isn't on the console yet and that is already double the size of the internal storage...
GTA 6 will most likely be around the same file size, if not bigger. We don't think it's coming to Nintendo Switch consoles at all.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is expected to showcase the next-gen technology at it's most powerful with stunning graphics and a sprawling world full of activities. It would be nice to see on Nintendo Switch, but don't bank on it.
