Genshin Impact is is back with a pair of nominations for the upcoming event, The Game Awards 2022, the annual celebration of the best of the gaming industry this year.
Established in 2014 by the journalist Geoff Keighley, the event is also an opportunity to show Premieres and Advances of new games and movies.

The Game Awards 2022 Event Details
The Game Awards 2022 will take place in the Microsoft Theater on Thursday, December 8, 2022. For the 9th edition, the event will be broadcasted on multiple platforms.

The event will be broadcast free on several platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and TikTok Live.

Genshin Impact GOTY Nominations
The adventures of Paimon and the Traveler are part of the elite games nominated for the Games of the Year Awards with two nominations this year, one for Best Ongoing Game, and one for the Best Mobile Game, a category the game won in 2021.

This is awarded to the game with outstanding ongoing content development that evolves the player experience over time.

Unfortunately, Genshin Impact is not nominated in any categories related to the music in the game; this comes as a bit of a surprise considering how much care Hoyoverse put into this aspect this year.
Genshin Impact GOTY Award
During the Game Awards of 2021, Genshin Impact was crowned as the Best Mobile Game, and they were nominated in the same category this year.
During last year's ceremony, Hoyoverse revealed a trailer with the new Inazuma character, Yun Jin, and a new Boss. We may see a new trailer this year, perhaps with Faruzan and Scaramouche.
Additionally, players received 1600 Primogems as a celebration for Genshin Impact becoming the Best Mobile Game in 2021, the biggest giveaway of the game so far.
For those looking to maximize free rewards, voting could lead to some more free Primogems down the line.

Fans of video games can start voting for their favorites for The Game Awards 2022 now. Players can vote this year via Discord or on the Game Awards Website. To vote it is necessary to sign in, but there are no other requirements.
