Genshin Impact: New Monster Based On miHoYo President

The Genshin Impact update is right around the corner.

1.1 will launch on November 11th and will also add PS5 support.

In a recent update video a new monster was shown that is based on the President of miHoYo.

Forrest Liu

During a promotional video for 1.1, a new monster was revealed called Forrest Hilichurl.

Forrest Hilichurl is actually based on miHoYo's President Forrest Liu.

CEO Hugh Tsai told IGN in an interview,

“The team designed this monster as an in-game cameo of our company president, Forrest Liu, in hilichurl form”
“Players, whenever you feel in a bad mood, or there’s something you’re not happy about in the game – and after you’ve voiced your concerns via the Feedback function. Please feel free to seek out this most unusual hilichurl and vent all of your frustrations on him with my blessing.”

There have been numerous Hilichurl's added to the game already, ranging from common grunts to tougher boss like enemies.

They can be identified by the fact they're always wearing a mask and are one of the first enemies players encounter in the game.

It is expected that the game will be released on the Nintendo Switch.

The port was originally slated for the end of September when the game left beta.

BOTW CLONE ON SWITCH?: Genshin Impact has been announced for the system, but no release date has been given.

Unfortunately that didn't happen and it is still missing from the hybrid system.

At some point it should be announced, hopefully with the 1.1 update.

Genshin Impact is still missing from the Xbox One/Series X though, and it seems like it may not be coming to the platform, much to fans disappointments.
