Layla, an Akademiya student specializing in Theoretical Astrology, is the new 4-star character in Genshin Impact 3.2. She carries a Cryo vision and uses the Sword as a weapon.
Hoyoverse confirmed that Layla would be released along with Nahida with a series of Drip Marketing on Twitter. Layla is the first Sumeru Cryo character.

Genshin Impact Layla Release Date
Layla will be one of the new characters debuting in the Genshin Impact 3.2 update, which is going live on November 2, 2022 according to the current schedule.
According to the latest leaks, Nahida will be featured in the first half of version 3.2, and Layla will feature in this same banner.
Layla Abilities Leaks
Layla, in combat, will have a Cryo vision and use the Sword. She is a 4-star with potential as support.
It will be interesting to see how Layla interacts with other Sumeru characters, considering the Cryo element doesn't react with Dendro.
For now, these remain unconfirmed leaks, but here's what has been rumored so far about Layla's abilities.
Normal Attack: Sword of the Radiant Path
Layla will perform up to 3 rapid attacks; her Charged Attacks consume stamina to unleash 2 fast sword strikes.

Elemental Skill: Nights of Formal Focus
Layla will create a shield called Curtain of Slumber. Active Curtain of Slumber will generate Night Stars that will be fired, inflicting Cryo DMG.
If other characters use Elemental Skills inside Layla's Shield, they will generate 2 Night Stars every 0.3s.

Layla sends to the battlefield a Dreamsphere with AoE Cryo DMG. If Layla's Shield is active, one Night Star will be generated by each hit of the Dreamsphere.

Based on Layla's reported Constellations, we can tell that her Shield is defensive and would be her primary DMG and Cryo Application source.
Layla Constellation 1 will generate shields for nearby party members without one. It seems to focus on Cooperative mode, something new in Genshin Impact.

Open Mind Effect: Normal and Charged Attack DMG will increase based on 5% of Layla's Max HP.
Open Mind can last up to 3s but will be reduced by 0.1s after every Normal and Charged Attack. |

C6 - Winner Take All | Shooting Stars from Nights of Formal Focus deal 40% increased DMG
Starlight Slugs from Dream of the Star-Stream Shaker deal 40% increased DMG.
Additionally, the interval between the creation of Night Stars via Nights of Formal Focus is decreased by 20%. |
