Where to Find and Catch Golden and Rusty Koi in Genshin Impact

Introduced in Genshin Impact 2.1, Fishing has taken the game by storm.

With so many different types of fish, rods, and bait, players are clamoring to catch them all in order to redeem them for some pretty fantastic rewards.

One of these rewards is the 4-Start Polearm, The Catch.

In order to obtain this weapon, players are going to need a fair amount of Golden Koi and Rusty Koi.

Where to Find Golden Koi and Rusty Koi

There are several locations to catch Golden Koi and Rusty Koi, spread out among the regions of Teyvat.

The first, as seen on the map below, is in Mondstadt in the river near Starsnatch Cliff.

Here, players can catch Golden Koi.

The next three spots are found in Liyue, all within the vicinity of the Wangshu Inn.

Players can catch both Golden Koi and Rusty Koi at these locations.

Finally, there is a spot just east of Koseki Village on Serai Island in Inazuma.

Both types of Koi are available here, as well.

How to Catch Golden Koi and Rusty Koi

Golden Koi and Rusty Koi like Fake Fly Bait, which can be crafted at any Alchemy Table using Sakura Bloom and Horsetail.

The recipe for Fake Fly Bait can be purchased from the Mondstadt Fishing Association.

Once caught, players can save these Koi for use in their Serenitea Pot, or use 20 of each, along with 6 Raimei Angelfish, towards their purchase of The Catch.

Golden Koi and Rusty Koi take 72 hours to respawn and can be caught day or night.
