The Genshin Impact 1.1 update trailer was recently released and it is packed full of content.
'A New Star Approaches', the name of the Genshin Impact 1.1 update, will launch on November 11th on PS4, PC, iOS, and Android.
The update will also contain the update for the Playstation 5, making it playable via backwards compatibility on day 1 of the new console launch.
The 1.1 update will add four new characters to the game, two 5-star and two 4-star.
Childe is a 5-star hydro archer that can switch between melee and ranged attacks.
Zhongli is a 5-star polearm wielder and has the ability to petrify enemies, along with high defense and strong area-of-effect attacks.
Xinyan and Diona are 4-star characters, but their information hasn't been released yet, but have been said to be use elemental combos and effect combat strategies.
There will be many new items added to the game with the next update.
New items include;
- Portable Waypoint
- Portable Stone
- Treasure Compass
- Oculus Resonance Stones
- Wind Catcher
The Oculus Resonance Stones will mark nearby Anemoculi and Geoculi.
While the Wind Catcher stores Anamograna to create wind currents, allowing for further exploration options.
When it comes to new quests there hasn't been any major details revealed by the developers.
However, we do know that this update with conclude the Liyue chapter.
This means there will be three acts of quests added at the very least.
Also expect to see more character-specific side quests as well.
A Reputation system is being added to the game with the 1.1 update, which will give players a rating in each of the game's cities.
This rating is affected by activities completed in the region around the city.
As the players reputation increases it will grant region-exclusive rewards, such as new customisation options.
On launch day, November 12th-19th depending on region, players will be able to download and jump into Genshin Impact on their brand new system.
The game will run via backwards compatibility with the PS4 version of the game, as opposed to a fresh PS5 build.
miHoYo have confirmed that the PS5 version will offer better graphics and faster loading times.
A new seasonal event will be added in the update titled "Unreconciled Stars".
The event will "call on all players to fight back against a sudden and terrible catastrophe facing Teyvat."
The event will add new 2 week long quests and co-op challenges and will grant players rewards, such as the 4-star character Fischl.
