A recent Genshin Impact leak has given fans plenty to look forward to as it looks like Kamisato Ayato will soon be a playable character!

The brother of Ayaka, Ayato is the current head of the Kamisato Clan in Inazuma.

Ayato has amassed a considerable fandom with only 3 seconds of voiceover and mentions by other characters in the game to go on. But thanks to these new leaks, we finally know more!

Here is everything we know about Kamisato Ayato and his potential future in Genshin Impact.

Release Date

With the roster of characters for ver. 2.5 almost determined, data miners believe that the information of Kamisato Ayato belongs to a further update.

Everything indicates that Kamisato Ayato is arriving on Genshin Impact 2.6, which will launch on March 30, 2022. This gives players plenty of time to save up enough Primogems.

What's Coming Next?

Although the end of March is still somewhat far off, players might get a pleasant surprise on San Valentine Day.

48 hours before a new update goes live, miHoYo officially reveals the upcoming characters arriving in the game. If there are no changes in this tradition, we will get to see the face of Kamisato for the first time on February 14th.

More information will also be available two days later when the Beta Version for Genshin Impact 2.6 kicks off.

Who is Kamisato Ayato?

Ayato is the Older Brother of Ayaka. They have been orphans since a young age. Ayato took the responsibility of leading the clan that is in charge of the Cultural Heritage in Inazuma.

He seems to be constantly busy, likely the reason why we haven't met him yet. However, people around him praise Ayato for his hard work. Some others mentioned picturing him as having a good sense of humor and being fierce in combat.

Ayato Vision and Weapon

Based on some artwork inside the Kamisato State (the house of Ayato and Ayaka), we can speculate that Ayato carries a Hydro Vision.

These two Japanese paintings seem to represent the Kamisato Siblings. The crane is flying over a snowing mountain references Ayaka and her Cryo abilities.

While the painting on the right is similar to The Great Wave off Kanawaga, if this theory is correct, Ayato is represented by an Ocean Wave, a possible reference to a Hydro Vision.

Will Ayato be a Polearm User?

Nobumori is an NPC character in Inazuma who lost his abilities during the Vision Hunt Decree.

However, before losing his powers, Nobumori was part of a contest where he fought Kamisato Ayato using a Polearm.

Is this the indication Ayato is another Polearm user? Three of the last five new characters use the Polearm, so it certainly wouldn't come as a massive surprise, though Ayato still may take on another main weapon entirely.
