Genshin Impact 3.0: All New Weapons & Artifacts for the upcoming update

The Genshin Impact 3.0 update is the biggest update of 2022. The introduction of Sumeru and the new Dendro element will be packed with all kinds of exciting content.

While new characters may attract most of the attention, new Weapons and Artifacts will be the additions that change the game the most.

In this article, we will keep you updated with the latest news about new Genshin Impact 3.0 weapons and artifacts. Here is what we know so far.

Genshin Impact 3.0 Release Date

Let's start with the release date of Genshin Impact 3.0 and the Sumeru region, which are expected to go live around August 24, 2022.

New Craftable Weapons in Genshin Impact 3.0

The moment we arrive in Sumeru, players will have five new free weapons available for the right resources from the blacksmith.

To get these weapons, players first need Northlander Billets.

  • Northlander Billets are weapon blueprints that are dropped by the weekly bosses in the Trounce Domains.
  • Some Billets are available in shops like the Mingxing Jewelry Shop in Liyue.

  • In some regions, leveling up the Map Objects grant billets:
    • The Frostbearer Tree in Dragonspine
    • The Grand Sakura Tree in Inazuma
    • The Lumenspar in The Chasm: Underground Mines.
  • Billets are kind of rare in Genshin Impact, so we recommend using them wisely.

The second thing we require in order to obtain the weapons is a Sumeru Specialty, the common Ore of the area, similar to the Amethyst Lump in Inazuma.

We don't have the name or attributes of the Sumeru Craft Weapons yet, but we think they will focus on buffing Elemental Reactions.

New Weapon Sets

Some weapons in Genshin Impact are part of sets that share a similar passive. This includes examples like the Sacrificial weapons which restart the Elemental Skill, or the Favonius Set which includes weapons that generate Energy Particles.

It seems Sumeru will also introduce a new set of 5 weapons, though we still don't have the details about their passives, names, or design.

New Artifact Domain

Genshin Impact 2.0 introduced the Momiji-Dyed Court. Since then, the domain has become the most efficient, with artifacts that are useful for almost every character.

This story might repeat itself with the new artifact sets coming in Genshin Impact 3.0.

Players will obtain the following two new sets of Artifacts, Memories of Deep Forest and Ornamental Gold Dream.

Artifact Name
2 Pieces Set Effect
4 Pieces Set Effect
Memories of the Deep Forest
15% Dendro DMG Bonus
When the enemy receives elemental damage, Dendro RES is reduced by 25% for 8 seconds. Can trigger when a damage-dealing character is off-field.
Ornamental Gold Dream
EM +80
Effect triggered after the elemental reaction. If 1/2/3 characters of the same element in the same team will cause the carrier to gain x/x/x% ATK. If 1/2/3 characters of different elements on the same team will cause the carrier to gain x/x/x EM for 8 seconds. Can trigger when the carrier is off-field once every 8 seconds.

Memories of Deep Forest

  • The artifacts are specialized in increasing the damage inflicted by the Dendro Element.
  • Memories of Deep Forest is a set that focuses on increasing the damage output more than the support capabilities of Dendro Characters.

Ornamental Gold Dream

  • Looking at the passive of these artifacts and the kit of the new Characters, we believe Dendro will focus heavily on Elemental reactions.
  • Ornamental Gold Dream will buff the ATK or the Elemental Mastery based on your team composition:
  • The ATK is increased based on the number of characters of the same element.
    • It is the first set of artifacts that benefits the Genshin impact Mono teams.
  • The Elemental Mastery will be increased based on the number of different elements in your team.
    • If your team is very diverse, the Elemental Mastery is increased therefore the Elemental Reactions make more Damage.

Based on what we know so far, we recommend stacking in Northlander Billets, saving your fragile resin, and cleaning out your artifact inventory to make space for the new weapons of Genshin Impact 3.0.
