While we are waiting for the arrival of Genshin Impact 2.7, data miners are revealing important details about version 2.8.
The last update before Sumeru will bring back the summer theme and the island in the Golden Apple Archipelago. Along with a new event, travelers will have the chance to obtain two new skins, one for Diluc and Fischl.
Here's what we know about these two new cosmetics and how to obtain them.
Genshin Impact 2.8 is going live on July 13, 2022, and the new skins for Fischl and Diluc will be part of the event A Summer Sea Sojourn.
It was a year ago when Hoyoverse introduce the Alternative Outfits of Barbara and Jean during the Echoing Tales in the GAA, followed by the Lantern Rite skins for Ningguang and Keqing.
There are a total of 4 alternative outfits in the game. But it seems that very soon, we are gettting two more.
A Summer Sea Sojourn
A Summer Sea Sojourn is the main event of Genshin Impact 2.8. The summer celebration takes place in the Golden Apple Archipelago.
The event will be divided into several different minigames:
- Evermotion Mechanical Painting: In this challenge, players must solve painting puzzles.
- The Reminiscent Regimen: This challenge has three themes: Convoy, Raid, and Abseil, and players will complete time challenges.
- Surfpiercer Challenge: This challenge is a Waveriders competition that can be played in Co-Op mode.
The Fischl Alternative Outfit will be avaiable for free in the A Summer of Sea event. By completing challenges, travelers will obtain a currency similar to the Shiny Flotsams.
Players can exchange 2000 tokens for the Fischl's skin called Ein Immernachtstraum, which is a reference to the german title of the classic comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream.
New Diluc Skin - Red Dead of Night
Red Dead of Night is the new skin for Diluc the 5-star Pyro claymore character. While Fischl's skin is free, Diluc's new skin will cost around 2600 Genesis Crystals, or around $40.
The Skins will have special effects, and they will be discounted to $30 during the duration of Genshin Impact 2.8.
