Genshin Impact 2.7 Server Maintenance Schedule: Downtime & Release Time


After a small break Hoyoverse is back on track, and Genshin Impact 2.7 is finally on its way.

But before players get their hands on all the new content, Genshin Impact servers will go down for maintenance downtime until the next update is live.

Here is everything players need to know about the Genshin Impact 2.7 maintenance schedule including server status, free compensation Primogems rewards, and all the latest news approaching launch.

Server Maintenance Schedule

Genshin Impact servers will go under maintenance on May 31, 2022, at 6am server time (Chinese Standard Time).

In other time zones, Genshin Impact servers will go down at:

  • May 30, 2022, 3:00 pm PST
  • May 30, 2022, 6:00 pm EST
  • May 30, 2022, 11:00 pm GMT

Servers will be down for around 5 hours, and players will receive compensatory Primogems for the time they cannot play the game.

Free Primogems for Genshin Impact Server Maintenance

Travelers will receive 60 Primogems for each hour the servers are not available. However, if the game is back online before the 5 hours scheduled. Players will still obtain a minimum of 300 Primogems.

Additionally, miHoYo gives 300 Primogems compensation for all the bug fixes found in the previous update. So, travelers who log in to the game after the maintenance will receive 600 Primogems, almost 4 wishes.

Free Primogems will be delivered to each player by in-game email. In addition, if the maintenance takes more than 5 hours, an extra 60 Primogems for each hour of delay will be added.

Genshin Impact 2.7 Preload Available Now

Genshin Impact players can start preloading the next update. The ver. 2.7 file size is around 6.5 Gb for Android and IOS and around 11 Gb for PC players.

PC users can continue playing while they are downloading files. Unfortunately, there is no preload option for Playstation Players.

Genshin Impact 2.7 Banners

  • Discerner of Enigmas will feature the new character Yelan - a 5-star Hydro Bow Character.
  • Invitation to Mundane Life will feature the second rerun of Xiao - a 5-star Polearm Bow Character.

Both Banners will share the following 4-star characters:

  • Yanfei - 4-star Pyro, Catalyst User
  • Barbara - 4-star Hydro, Catalyst User
  • Noelle - 4-star Geo, Claymore User.

The first weapon banner will feature one spear and the new 5-star bow.

  • Aqua Simulacra 5-star bow, the signature weapon of Yelan
  • Primordial Jade Winged-Spear 5-star spear is a very strong good for all weapons.

Second Phase

For the second phase of Genshin Impact 2.7, we will receive only one rerun, Arataki Itto. But the banner will introduce the new 4-star character Kuki Shinobu.

The Second Weapon Banner will feature the Redhorn Stonetresher 5-star claymore and the underwhelming catalyst Memory of Dust.

Genshin Impact 2.7 Events

Genshin Impact 2.7 will release a new chapter of the Archon Quest called Perilous Trail.

Arataki Itto is in Liyue and that will bring new adventures and a music festival that is the most innovative event for this patch.

The Drum Along Fest with Itto will introduce a calibration system and PvP competition and more new exciting events.

Genshin Impact 2.7 will introduce two new female characters. Yelan, a Hydro Bow character, and Kuki, an Electro Sword User.
