Genshin Impact 2.6: Third Phase announced, New Events revealed & Ayaka Banner extended

After indefinite delays to Genshin Impact 2.7, Hoyoverse has announced a new third phase for Genshin Impact 2.6! This means for the first time in the game's history, a version will last more than 6 weeks.

For this third phase, Genshin Impact will present two new events and Ayaka's banner will run for at least three more weeks.

Here is everything we know about the third phase of Version 2.6.

Start Time & Date

The new Genshin Impact 2.6 Third Phase will begin on May 14, 2022, and will kick off with the beginning of the Serenitea Pot event, Spices from the West.

Genshin Impact 2.6 Third Phase Banners

After the announcement that Genshin Impact 2.7 is being postponed, we were expecting more information about the plans of Hoyoverse, instead we received confirmation for an additional phase for Genshin Impact 2.7!

For this Third Phase, the Character and Weapon Banner will be the same as the second half of Genshin Impact 2.6 for now - though as things evolve, Hoyoverse may reveal more new content.

The Heron Court banner features the rerun of Kamisato Ayaka - a 5-star Cryo Sword Character, and the following 4-stars characters:

  • Rosaria- 4-star Cryo, Polearm User
  • Sayu - 4-star Anemo, Claymore User
  • Razor - 4-star Electro, Claymore User.

Epitome Invocation

This is the roster for the Weapon Banner in the Genshin Impact 2.6 Third Phase.

  • Mistsplitter Reforged - 5-star Sword
    • The sword is the signature weapon for Ayaka.
  • The Unforged - 5-tar Claymore
    • A very overwhelming weapon, some 4-stars claymores with refinements are better.

The following 4-stars complete the third phase weapon banner:

  • Favonius Lance - Polearm
  • Favonius Codex - Catalyst
  • The Bell - Claymore
  • Favonius Sword - Sword
  • Favonius Warbow - Bow

Third Phase Genshin Impact 2.6 Events

The new third phase of Genshin Impact 2.6 will bring a brand new original event and the rerun of Overflowing Mastery.

Overflowing Mastery

During this event, players will obtain the double of rewards from Domains that award Talent Books in the three regions Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma.

Spices from the West

The event was originally planned to be part of the second phase of Genshin Impact 2.6, however, the game was having issues with the Serenitea Pot.

As a result of these issues the event got cancelled, and we received a new version of the Marvelous Merchandise event. Now it seems Spices from the West is back so Travelers have some things to focus on in the downtime before Genshin Impact 2.7 finally arrives.

New Genshin Impact 2.7 Release Date

Based on the duration of the events of the new Third Phase of version 2.6, we can infer that the delay of Genshin Impact 2.7 will take even longer than expected.

Spices from the West will end on June 6, 2022, almost a month after the original release of Genshin Impact 2.7. And while things have been pushed back, it could also be even longer of a delay as it seems the situation in China is getting worse, to the point that Hoyoverse's offices are closed at the moment.
