Genshin Impact 2.6 will be a very diverse update with a lot of new content. The patch has scheduled only original events this time around, so there's plenty to get into over the next couple of months!
The storyline will be divided between the Irodori Festival in Inazuma and the exploration of the Chasm with a new Archon Quest.
Here is everything we know about all the upcoming Genshin Impact 2.6 events.
LATEST: Genshin Impact 2.6 Banners Revealed
Genshin Impact 2.6 is arriving on March 30, 2022. The six-week cycle is divided into two parts.
Genshin Impact's 2.6 first phase will start on March 30, 2022.
- Kamisato Ayato is the only new character coming to Genshin Impact 2.6.
Ayato and Venti will be the 5-star characters featured in the first half banner.
- The first weapon banner will feature the sword Haran Tsukishiro Futsu, the signature weapon for Kamisato Ayato, and the bow Elegy for the End.
The second phase banners will include one rerun. Kamisato Ayaka is coming back. Most likely is also the return of Sayu.
With Ayaka in a banner, the Mistsplitter's Reforged will be in the second weapon, Banner.
Genshin Impact's 2.6 Second Phase will start on April 20, 2022.

Genshin Impact 2.6 Events
The Electro Nation of Inazuma will celebrate the Irodori Festival in the coming update.
Since the Raiden Shogun decided to lift the ban to foreigners, we will see many familiar faces: Itto, Ayato, Yoimiya, Ayaka, Klee, Sara, Venti, and Yae Miko.
The Irodori Festival will include the special participation of Albedo and Xingqiu, who will be presenting their book in Inazuma.
Archon Story Quest
Version 2.6 will have a new chapter of the Archon Story Quest. The main storyline in Genshin Impact.
In the quest Requiem of the Echoes Depths, Dainleif will return to aid the Traveler to battle the abyss that is taking control of The Chasm.
Story Quest
With the borders open in Inazuma, the nation is ready to let foreigners get into the territory.
Opening the doors to other nations will be the opportunity for the rise of new threats.
The Story Quest: Cypressus Custus will follow Kamisato Ayato while he investigates suspicious activities.
New Boss
- Event Duration: Permanent Event starting on March 30, 2022

- The boss is a mechanism created with Abyss Tech.
- The design of the Ruin Serpent indicates it was used as a drilling machine.
- The Ruin Serpent will drop materials for future characters like Yelan.

Hues of the Violet Garden
The main event of Genshin Impact 2.6 will take place during the Irodori Festival.
The event will be divided into 4 mini-games
- The Moon and Stars: Travelers will take landscape pictures to inspire new poetry.
- Inscribe Theater Mechanicus: The rerun of this mini-game will bring new mechanics and challenges.
- Clash of Lone Blades: A sword pairing event where players will get to practice new sword techniques
- The Floral Courtyard: In this event, players will assist Ayaka in creating Ikebana (Floral Decorations), which players can use in their Serenitea Pot.
Rewards: Free 4-star character (Xingqiu), Primogems, Crown, Golden Talent Books from Inazuma, Hero's Wit, Mora.
Spices from the West
A lady from Sumeru will travel to Liyue looking for new spices to use in her research of new ways of seasoning.
- A gastronomic event, when players will test their cooking skills.
- Seasoning Recipes will unlock during the duration of the event. Every recipe will require precision and great control.
- After obtaining new spices, travelers can invite characters to their Serenitea Pot to try Fragrance Dishes to increase familiarity
Rewards: Primogems, Weapon Ascension Materials, Mora, Character EXP materials
Vibro-Crystal Research
A Researcher from Fontaine (Hydro Nation) is on the outskirts of the Chasm investigating properties in crystals.
- Travelers will test the crystals in a Combat challenge where players need to clear 6 challenges with 2 chambers each.\
- Each stage has a unique theme based and trial characters:
- Stage 1: Quick-swap (Raiden, Venti)
- Stage 2: Normal attacks (Yoimiya, Ayato)
- Stage 3: Electro (Yae, Raiden)
- Stage 4: Kokomi (Kokomi, Kazuha)
- Stage 5: Geo (Itto, Albedo)
- Stage 6: Freeze (Mona, Ayaka)
- The Vibro-Crystal Research is a combat challenge event similar to A Study in Potions.
Rewards: Primogems, Character EXP Materials, Weapon Ascension Material, Mora and Mystic Ore
Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens
The artist called Asagiri sent a commission to obtain pictures from different nations.
- Asagiri is planning to use the images for inspiration to create future Illustrations.
- A laid-back event that will require players to use the in-game photo camera.
Rewards: Primogems, Mora, Character EXP materials
Release of The Chasm
Genshin Impact 2.6 will focus majorly on the new region, The Chasm, the border between Liyue and Sumeru.
The land is a giant crater produced by the impact of a Celestial Body. The new area will introduce new enemies and new game mechanics.
Spyral Abyss Genshin Impact 2.6
The Spiral Abyss introduced two new mechanics, Energy Sap and Resurrection, making the abyss more challenging than ever.
The artifact boxes from Floors 9-12 of Spiral Abyss will no longer have artifacts from the Gladiator and Wanderer's Troupe sets in Genshin Impact 2.6. They will be replaced by the new artifact sets in 2.6, Vermillion Hereafter and Echoes of an Offering

- Phase 1
- Normal Attack hits afflict the enemy with a debuff that expires after 10s, dealing True DMG at the time of expiry. Normal Attack hits on an enemy affected by the debuff further increase the damage from the debuff's removal.
- This effect can stack up to 10 times.
- Phase 2
- After a character's Normal Attack hits opponents, the DMG dealt by this character's Normal Attacks will increase by 12% for 5s. This effect can stack up to 5 times.
- Each stack is calculated independently. This effect can be triggered once every 0.1s.
- Phase 3
- Normal Attack damage reduces the enemy's Physical/Elemental RES by 6% for 6s, matching the type of damage dealt.
- This effect can stack up to 7 times. RES decreases of different types can stack with independent timers and stack counts.
Rewards: High-Level Artifacts, Ascencion Materials, and Primogems.
