Genshin Impact 2.6: Ayaka Trailer shows more about the Kamisato Clan Story

In a surprising move, Genshin Impact released a trailer for a character rerun for the first time ever. This video shows Ayaka in a dream that connects her past and present, giving some background information on the Kamisato family, and Ayato as well.

Another special for Ayaka, the ice queen that will run a solo banner for the first rerun in the second phase of Genshin Impact 2.6, showing just how important of a character she really is.

Ayaka is currently the strongest DPS in the game. She has an excellent character design and an enticing kind personality. We can expect her rerun will be very successful.

Especially after receiving a very touching video when we see more about the Kamisato Family and the relation with Ayato.

Breaking Down Ayaka's Trailer

The video Tsubaki in Thawing Snow, starts with scenes from the past of the Kamisato State. It seems everything is in a dream of Ayaka.

Ayaka mentioned she has the same dream every Tsubaki season, but we know from Ayaka's story Quest that Tsubaki is a treasure hunt her mom left for her.

The treasure is the last wish of her Mom, as she wants Ayaka to live a free and ordinary life, away from her duties.

Here are some other details you may have missed from the trailer:

• The video shows the garden from the Kamisato State, Ayato and Ayaka are sparring.
  • What looks like simple training seems to be a defining moment for Ayaka.
  • In the scene, Hoyoverse flexes muscles, showing nice attention to detail. We can see how much time has passed from that training by the grass growing in the garden.
• The next scene shows a very young Ayaka and her mom playing Shogi, a Japanese version of Chess. The same game Thoma and Ayato were playing in Ayato's story Quest.
• At a certain point the video return to the battle of Ayaka and Ayato, and we can see the exact moment when Ayaka obtains her Cryo Powers.
  • Her new vision powers let Ayaka beat Ayato for the first time.
  • She proved worth it to share the burden of the Yashiro Commission.
• Ayaka mentioned a name: Shirasagi Himegimi. This Japanese phrase means White Heron Princess, Ayaka's title or nickname as head of the Kamisato Clan
  • It is a reference to the Japanese folk character called Sagi Susume, a crane who turns into a maiden.
• The last scene shows a conversation minutes before Ayato goes to lead the mission to infiltrate Gorou and Kazuha in the Electro Archon Palace.
  • This mission that save the life of the Traveler was shown in detail in Ayato's Trailer.
  • In the scene, we can see Ayato encouraging Ayako to officiate the celebration of the Raiden Shogun in Inazuma.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any interaction with the father of the Kamisato Siblings. But the video shows a different side of Ayaka and Ayato, which makes them even more likable.

Genshin Impact 2.6 Ayaka Banner Release Date

The upcoming Genshin Impact 2.6 Ayaka banner, The Heron's Court, will go live on April 20, 2022, at 6 pm on the Chinese and Asian Servers. (Chinese Standard Time).

The Heron Court banner will feature the rerun of Kamisato Ayaka - a 5-star Cryo Sword Character, and the following 4-stars characters:

• Rosaria- 4-star Cryo, Polearm User
• Sayu - 4-star Anemo, Claymore User
• Razor - 4-star Electro, Claymore User.
