Genshin Impact 2.4: Shenhe and Xiao Banner REVEALED - All Characters & Weapons

Genshin Impact 2.4 is just around the corner, and thanks to the Ver. 2.4 Livestream, we already have a general idea of what is coming in the next update.

This livestream hasn't covered everything, however, and new reveals have given us a more complete picture of the first few Genshin Impact 2.4 banners!

Here's what we've learned about the Xiao and Shenhe banners thanks to some new reveals.

Banners Release Date

Genshin Impact 2.4 will go live on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 11:00 am Server time.

• January 4, 7:00 p.m. PDT
• January 4, 10:00 p.m. EST
• January 4, 3:00 a.m. GMT

The server goes under maintenance at 6:00 am at server time and lasts around 5 hours.

Genshin Impact 2.4 First Phase Banners

The first phase of Genshin Impact 2.4 will have two Character Event Banners sharing the same 4-star characters that will launch on January 5, 2022.

• The first banner, The Transcendent One Returns, will feature:
  • Shenhe - 5-star Cryo, Polearm
• The second banner, Invitation to Mundane Life, will feature:
  • The re-run of Xiao - 5-star Anemo, Polearm User.

In addition, both Banners will share the following 4-stars characters:

• Yun Jin - 4-star Geo, Polearm User (New Character)
• Ningguang - 4-star Geo, Catalyst User
• Chongyun - 4-star Cryo, Claymore User.

This 4-star line-up suggests that Chongyun and Shenhe are related or close friends, as both are descendants of Excorcist Clans.

On the other hand, Ningguang returns in good time to join the Mono Geo Supremacy and debut her new outfit, Orchid's Evening Gown.

Weapon Banner

Besides the full roster of the first two characters' banners, data miners announced the arsenal of weapons joining the first Weapon Banner in Genshin Impact 2.4

The first weapon banner has two Polearms as the 5-star weapons feature:

• The 5-star polearm Calamity Queller, the signature weapon of Shenhe.
• The 5-star polearm Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, the signature weapon of Xiao.

And the following 4-star weapons are coming along as well:

• Favonius Warbow (Bow)
• The Flute (Sword)
• Lithic Spear (Polearm)
• Widsith (Catalyst)
• Favonius Greatsword (Claymore)

Both 5-star Polearms are an excellent option for most characters. The Widsith is the best 4-star catalyst for Ningguang, and the Lithic Spear is a very viable polearm as well, especially now that this type of weapon will be in high demand.
