Genshin Impact 2.4 Calamity Queller Farming Guide: Ascension Materials & Best Uses

Genshin Impact 2.4's first Weapon Banners will introduce tailor-made weapons for Shenhe and Xiao, the two 5-star characters featured in the first phase Character Event.

Calamity Queller, the signature weapon of Shenhe, seems to be more viable for multiple characters than the recent 5-star Weapons released in Genshin Impact.

Here's our farming guide for getting the materials ready if you are pulling wishes for the upcoming weapon banner.

Release Date

The Calamity Queller will be released along with Genshin Impact 2.4 update on January 5, 2022.

The banner will include the 5-star polearm Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, and the following 4-star weapons:

• Favonius Warbow (Bow)
• The Flute (Sword)
• Lithic Spear (Polearm)
• Widsith (Catalyst)
• Favonius Greatsword (Claymore)

Calamity Queller Preview

The new 5-star Polearm in Genshin Impact Calamity Queller is a black and snow blue Spear that resembles a weapon for a deity.

• The Calamity Queller is a polearm with a strong ATK Base that will boost Elemental Skills DMG.
• The weapon will be a good fit for Polearm characters Sub DPS or Main DPS.
• It is tailor-Made for the upcoming 5-star character Shenhe.

Calamity Ascension Materials

These are the ascension materials for the Polearm Calamity Queller:

Elixir Series are weapon ascension material that players can obtain in the Liyue Domain of Forgery, Hidden Palace of Lianshan on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.

For a Calamity Queler to Lv. 90, players need to collect:

• 9 Mist Veiled Lead Elixir
• 14 Mist Veiled Mercury Elixir
• 14 Mist Veiled Gold Elixir
• 6 Mist Veiled Primo Elixir

Mist Grass Pieces - Material drop by the Enemies, Fatui Cicin Mages.

• Fatui Cicin Mages are elite bosses that can harness Electro and Cryo Element.
• A level 90 Calamity Queller requires:
  • 23 Mist Grass Polen
  • 27 Mist Grass
  • 41 Mist Grass Wick

Whopperflower - A common enemy that players can find near other vegetation waiting to ambush their enemies. They can harness Electro, Cryo, and Pyro Damage.

They can be found in all regions of Teyvat, particularly near the Regisvines.

19 Whopperflower Nectar, 23 Shimmering Nectar, 27 Energy Nectar are needed to level up the Calamity Queller to lv. 90.

Calamity Queller Best Uses

Despite being the best weapon for Shenhe, the polearm is also suitable for characters with high DMG output.

The Calamity Queller can be used in characters like Rosaria, Yun Jin, and Xiao. In case you do not have the Catch is also suitable for Xiangling Sub DPS.
