The Genshin Impact NPC Neko the cat; aside from being a cute kitty, will give players the very long but endearing World Quest, Neko is A Cat.

Here's a walkthrough on how to obtain two Genshin Impact 2.1 secret achievements and some good Primogems from this chain!

Requirements

The quest will unlock once you visit Neko for a second time. Don't be deceived, as Neko the cat is the Provisional Head Priest of Asase Island Shrine.

Neko is a Cat Quest Guide

After meeting Neko, it's clear he has a bitter sense of humor. It's also clear he is unable to keep the shrine in good shape, due to the fact he is just a talking cat. He will require help from the Traveler to bring the shrine to its former glory.

Once you complete a task, wait for 24hrs (real-time) and visit Neko again. He will give you a new task.

  • Offering Box, Clean the dirt in four areas around the Asase Shrine, use hydro characters to remove the dirt.
    • Reward: 20x Primogems, 100exp, 10,000 Mora.
  • Wooden Rack Objectives, After investigating the rack near the shrine, Paimon will offer to fix the shrine, get planks from Treasure Hoarders, and restore the shrine.
    • Reward: 20x Primogems, 100exp, 10,000 Mora.
  • The Children, Help Neko find two missing kittens; Hachihou near the shore and Konbumaru, who is on a tree.
    • Reward: 30x Primogems, 100exp, 15,000 Mora, Hero's Wit x2.
  • Shrine Recipe, Talk to Kiminani Anna in Inazuma. In exchange for some Seagrass, she will give you the recipe: Invigorating Kitty Meal to feed the cats in the shrine.
    • Reward: 20x Primogems, 150exp, 30,000 Mora.
  • Cat and Stone, Find an artisan in Tatarasuna. Then convince the artisan, Ooshima Junpei to make a cat statue for the Asase Shrine.
    • Reward: 20x Primogems, 150exp, 30,000 Mora.
  • Stone Humans Troubles, Give Osshima Junpei x3 Iron ores to continue with the Statue Work.
    • Reward: 20x Primogems, 100exp, 20,000 Mora.
  • Shrine Canteen, Give Osshima Junpei fish and then came back to give him some raw meat.
    • Reward: 20x Primogems, 100exp, 10,000 Mora.
  • Ding-a-Ling Metal Ball, Hang bells in three different areas of Asase Shrine.
    • Reward: 20x Primogems, 100exp, 10,000 Mora.
  • A Good Turn Comes Late, Talk to Ooshima Junpei to trigger the final cut scene.
    • Reward: 20x Primogems, 100exp, 20,000 Mora, 2x Hero's Wit.

By the end of the 9th day, players will obtain a total of x190 Primogems, x4 Hero's Wit, 125,000 mora, the 3-star Recipe Invigorating Kitty Meal, and the Cat in the Clouds Secret Achievement.

Cat's Gift

Helping Neko the Cat will open the chances for players to unlocked the secret achievement Cat's Gift.

  • After you learn the Recipe for Invigorating Kitty Meal, cook 4 of them and wait 24 hrs.
  • Find near the northeast teleport waypoint in Fort Hurimai in Seirai Island a stone with a cat's paw shape.
  • Paimon will hear a hungry cat meowing for food, proceed to feed him.
  • Come back the next server day to find the cat in another stone. Feed him at least 4 times to unlock the secret achievement Cat's Gift and open a Precious Chest.
