The Inazuma Region

The Electro region of Inazuma is finally arriving in Genshin Impact, continuing the game's main storyline with Act I and II of Chapter II.

Based on Japan, Inzauma consists of six different islands:

  • Narukami Island
  • Kannazuka
  • Yashiori Island
  • Seirai Island
  • Tsurumi Island
  • Watatsumi Island

The region is ruled over by the Electro Archon, Baal, who has currently enacted a Vision Hunt Decree, forcefully removing visions from the inhabitants of Inazuma.

She has also locked down the borders, making it increasingly hard for people to either enter or leave the region without special permission.

The Traveler has enlisted the help of Captain Beidou and her Crux Fleet to smuggle them into Inazuma to continue their quest.

New Characters

It has been a while since players have gotten two new Character Event Banners in an update, with reruns spotlighting many of the recent updates to the game.

Genshin Impact 2.0 will contain two Character Event Banners headlined by new characters, with the second banner also including a new 4-Star character.

The first banner of Genshin Impact 2.0 will feature Ayaka, a 5-Star Cryo Sword user from Inazuma that players have eagerly been awaiting since the first beta of the game.

The second banner will feature the 5-Star Yoimiya, a Pyro Bow user from Inzazuma, and Saku, a 4-Star Anemo Claymore user.

New Story Quests

With three new characters arriving in Genshin Impact 2.0, players will also be happy to know that the first Act of two of the characters' Story Quests will also arrive in the update.

Both Ayaka and Yoimiya will be getting Story Quests.

Ayaka's is entitled "Grus Nivis," while Yoimiya's is "Carassius Auratus."

Players will have to be at least Adventure Rank 30 and have finished "Chapter 2: Act 1 The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia," another major story quest introduced in 2.0.

New Domains

While several past updates have added a new Domain or two for players to challenge, Genshin Impact 2.0 will feature six new Domains scattered through Inazuma for players to enjoy:

  • Momiji-Dyed Court
  • Violet Court
  • Court of Flowing Sands
  • Empty Boat Of A Thousand Gates
  • Shakkei Pavilion
  • Formation Estate

The two new Artifact sets will be available to farm through the new Domains and previously released sets and items.

New Bosses

That latest Elemental Hypostasis will arrive with Genshin Impact 2.0, though whether or not it will actually reside in Inazuma is yet to be seen.

Genshin Impact 1.5 introduced the Cryo Hypostasis to the game in the Dragonspine region of Teyvat, and now the Pyro Hypostasis is coming to the game.

This will bring Hypostasis bosses up to five, with only Dendro and Hydro missing once 2.0 is released.

Genshin Impact 2.0 will also be moving the Maguu Kenki from the Golden Apple Archipelago to Inazuma since the archipelago will be leaving once 2.0 arrives.

This will allow players to continue to farm Marionette Cores once the 1.6 update content heads to the vault.

A new item from Madame Ping will allow players to collect seeds as they harvest different plants from around Teyvat and planting them in varying garden plots inside their Serenitea Pot.

Mystic Offering

Available at special tables in Inazuma City, Genshin Impact 2.0's Mystic Offering will allow players to trade in three 5-Star artifacts for an artifact from one of the following sets:

  • Gladiator’s Finale
  • Wanderer’s Troupe
  • Bloodstained Chivalry
  • Noblesse Oblige

This feature will be great for players looking to complete the previously mentioned sets for a variety of different characters.
