PT will always remain one of the biggest what ifs in gaming.
PT was a "Playable Teaser" of an upcoming Silent Hill game titled "Silent Hills", and was being developed by Hideo Kojima.
Kojima is best known for being the mastermind behind the Metal Gear Solid series.
After Kojima parted ways with Konami the PT demo was removed the PS4 store and Silent Hills was officially cancelled.
Despite this, Kojima is committed the making the "scariest horror game ever", continuing on his work and creating a spiritual successor to P.T.
The Reveal Date
Silent Hill is rumoured to be revealed at the upcoming The Game Awards 2020 event.
Established in 2014, The Game Awards is produced and hosted by Canadian games journalist Geoff Keighley.
The Game Awards 2020 is set to take place on December 10th and will be a virtual event this year.
Reliable sources have said the game will be revealed before the end of 2020.
Sony's State of Play event and the Tokyo Game Show have already taken place and the game wasn't revealed then so The Game Awards is the last opportunity for the game to be revealed in 2020.
It is rumoured that Silent Hill will be a Playstation 5 exclusive, being co-developed by Sony Japan and Konami.
According to rumours the game will be a reboot of the series, with the original director, composer, and monster designer making a return to the develop the new Silent Hill.
Metal Gear Solid
With Silent Hill potentially being rebooted, it is understandable fans will also question what the future holds for Metal Gear Solid.
The Metal Gear series was created by Hideo Kojima and has been around since 1987.
Although Kojima created the franchise, it is still owned by Konami, which means that the studio could choose to develop a new game without Kojima at the helm.
It would be interesting to see whether the game would lose its charm without Kojima, or whether Konami have the ability to develop a new game without him.
As of right now there has been no rumours or leaks regarding Metal Gear Solid 6.
