Latest - Captaincy picks for GW24

There are plenty of top captaincy options for Gameweek 24, with assets from Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool and Spurs all in consideration.

Kevin De Bruyne is a top captaincy pick for GW24, having scored 19 points over the course of his last two appearances.

Other Man City captaincy options included Joao Cancelo and Phil Foden, who have both been in excellent form this season.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes face bottom of the table Burnley, making them both viable options if you can overlook the Red Devil's poor run of form.

From Liverpool, Diogo Jota and Trent Alexander-Arnold are the standout players as the Reds come up against a Leicester side that conceded four goals to Nottingham Forrest in the FA Cup.

Finally, as always, you might consider Spurs duo Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son as they look to punish Southampton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Defenders

These two full-backs have real attacking potential.

Star Signing – Kyle Walker (£5.4m)

Kyle Walker is back in the Manchester City side after a long spell out with personal issues.

Bargain Buy – Lucas Digne (£5.1m)

Lucas Digne got off to a flying start in Villa colours by keeping a clean sheet and registering the winning assist on debut for his new club, scoring a total of 12 points in GW23.

The Frenchman is Steven Gerrard's number one left-back and more clean sheets could be on the cards with upcoming fixtures against Leeds, Newcastle and Watford.

Midfielders

You may want to consider these centre mids who are at opposite ends of the price spectrum.

In-form Belgian midfield maestro Kevin De Bruyne is a great captaincy option for GW24, having scored 19 points over the course of his last two appearances.

Manchester City come up against a Brentford team that has conceded twelve goals in the last four Premier League matches.

Bargain Buy – Jacob Ramsey (£4.6m)

Jacob Ramsey is not necessarily somebody who will score points every week, but he is a fantastic bench option as he is currently priced at just £4.6m.

The youngster has started each of Aston Villa's last seven Premier League matches and produced double-figure hauls in GW17 and GW22. If you are after a more expensive Villa asset then Philippe Coutinho (£7.0m) is your man.

Forwards

These two strikers could score BIG in GW24.

Star Signing – Crisitano Ronaldo (£12.5m)

Despite blanking in his last four outings, Cristiano Ronaldo is a great captaincy option for GW24, especially if Man United get a double gameweek confirmed this week.

The Red Devils face Burnley next - a team that CR7 picked up 12 points against in the home fixture at Old Trafford in GW20.

Bargain Buy – Odsonne Edouard (£6.5m)

French striker Odsonne Edouard has tallied up 30 points over the course of the last four gameweeks, picking up three goals, two assists and three bonus points in that time.

Crystal Palace face Norwich and Brentford in their next two matches, making Edouard a great budget option at just £6.5m. You could also opt for Jean-Philippe Mateta (£5.2m) if you are after a cheaper option.
