These player differentials could help you stride ahead of the opposition in Fantasy Premier League.
What is an FPL Differential?
An FPL Differential is a player selected by a small percentage of managers, therefore is likely to make your team different to others in your mini-leagues, which can help you move up overall FPL rankings.
Defenders
These defenders will shock your Fantasy Premier League opposition!
Tyrone Mings (£5.0m)
Mings has picked up 22 points in total over the course of his first 2 games this season.

Selected by just 2.8% of FPL managers, Mings could be a great differential to set you apart from your league opposition.
Nelson Semedo (£5.5m)
Having not played a Premier League game yet, Semedo is selected by just 0.8%.
Upcoming Fixtures:
- Fulham (H)
- Leeds Utd (A)
- Newcastle (H)
With Wolves' favourable upcoming fixtures, and the Portuguese international set to slot into the attacking wing-back role, vacated by Doherty, Semedo could accumulate a serious points tally this season.
Sergio Reguilon (£5.5m)
The Spaniard is another defender who is yet to make his league debut, but could be a smart differential pick.
Upcoming Fixtures:
- Man Utd (A)
- West Ham Utd (H)
- Burnley (A)
Reguilon is currently selected by only 0.2% of FPL managers, but we're expecting to see that number rise rapidly, as he'll be attacking down the left flank for Spurs whilst picking up points for clean sheets.
Midfielders
Here are the midfielders who will leapfrog you up the FPL tables!
Jarrod Bowen (£6.3m)
Selected by just 0.9% of managers, Jarrod Bowen produced 15 points in his last fixture vs Wolves.
Upcoming Fixtures:
- Leicester (A)
- Tottenham (A)
- Man City (H)

With West Ham's form seeming to have taken a positive turn, the Englishman could be worth a punt in midfield at only £6.3m.
Callum Hudson-Odoi (£5.8m)
Having played a huge role in Chelsea's comeback against West Brom, after being subbed on at half time, the 19 year-old is set to start against Palace at the weekend.
Upcoming Fixtures:
- Crystal Palace (H)
- Southampton (H)
- Man Utd (A)
Selected by only 0.4% of FPL managers, and at just £5.8m, Hudson-Odoi could be a great differential for your team.
Andros Townsend (£6.0m)
Townsend has made a great start to the 2020-21 Premier League season, having totaled 22 points in 3 games so far.
Upcoming Fixtures:
- Chelsea (A)
- Brighton (H)
- Fulham (A)
With Palace facing some dodgy defences in their upcoming fixtures, Townsend is set to score big again in the coming weeks.
Forwards
Now for the best forward differentials who will set you aside from the rest of your league!
Neal Maupay (£6.5m)
Picked in just 3.4% of FPL teams, Neal Maupay is the fifth highest scoring forward in FPL so far this season.

Brighton's number 9 could be a quality differential in your team, as he looks to continue his goalscoring run.
Alexandre Lacazette (£8.5m)
Three goals in three games for the Frenchman so far this season has seen Lacazette pick up a total of 21 points.
Upcoming Fixtures:
- Sheffield Utd (H)
- Man City (A)
- Leicester (H)
Despite Arsenal's run of tough upcoming fixtures, Laca could be the man to set you aside from the opposition in the coming weeks, as he is selected by only 5.3% of FPL managers.
Callum Robinson (£5.5m)
Robinson made the 0.7% of FPL owners very happy this weekend, as he picked up 13 points against Chelsea in a 3-3 draw.
Upcoming Fixtures:
- Southampton (A)
- Burnley (H)
- Brighton (A)
With upcoming fixtures that West Brom will look to get points out of, Robinson is a cheap forward differential, who could continue to bag points, as he's found his Premier League form.
