When is the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 event?

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 is almost over and Season 6 is right around the corner.

Before Season 6 begins there is still the Zero Crisis Finale event.

But when is the Season 5 event?

LATEST - Downtime Revealed

The downtime for the 16.00 update has now been confirmed.

Fortnite Season 6's downtime will now begin at 12am EST/4am GMT, a very early one for players.

The good news is, downtime is expected to last for many hours so there is no need to wake up super early for this, unless you like sitting and staring at nothing.

But players should still be able to get their first Season 6 wins before lunch.

Neymar Collab? Okay

Yes, you read that right. Brazillian footballer Neymar looks like he's going to be the latest celebrity to feature in Fortnite, possibly as himself.

Although we don't know a whole lot about what's in store, both Fortnite and Neymar have tweeted one another and the following teaser has been shared.

It isn't exactly what fans were hoping for but does that mean that there's a wider array of collaborations in the works of just general celebrities?

Which famous faces would you like to see in Fortnite?

The Zero Point Event is due to kick off on March 16th, 2021. We don't know an exact time but Fortnite updates often go live at 09:00 GMT / 05:00 ET, so this would be a safe bet.

The Seven Are Returning

In the latest audio log, it was revealed that Agent Jones is trying to find information on The Seven.

The Seven consist of The Visitor, The Scientist, and The Paradigm, as well as four more unknown characters.

We haven't really heard from The Seven since the black hole event at the end of Chapter 1 Season X, but it appears that their story is far from over.

The Zero Point Is Getting More Unstable

As the end of Season 5 rolls around, and the upcoming Zero Crisis Finale event, the focal point of the season, the Zero Point, has begun getting more unstable.

FortTory posted a short video of the Zero Point, stating that it is now emitting shockwaves every minute rather than every two minutes.

At this rate, the Zero Point could continue to pulse at a rate of one every three seconds by March 16th, 2021.

With it looking like its set to explode, and possibly suck the island into it again, will Agent Jonesy be able to stop it before its too late?

Solo Experience Event Announced

What would a Fortnite season be without an end of season event, and it has been officially confirmed that we will be getting just that, kind of.

In a series of tweets and blog post, Epic Games announced that players will be able to take part in a solo event at the start of Season 6 on March 16th.

Normally an end of season event takes place the Saturday before the new season, so we initially expected a March 13th event.

In a tweet, Epic Games revealed what to expect,

"CH2 Season 6 launches on March 16 with the explosive conclusion of the events of Season 5. You'll play through the culmination of Agent Jones' mission in the Zero Crisis Finale. This is a solo experience & you can play through it whenever you first login during the Season."

This will be the first time we've seen something like this from Fortnite, usually, an event is a cinematic experience that players just sit back and watch, except last season we got to take part in a flying event that emulated the Death Star battle from Star Wars Episode 4.

Players will also be able to watch the experience first online before jumping into it themselves, more details will be shared before the start of the new season.

Zero Point Update

Although we don't know much about what's happening just yet, changes in-game are signposting something major.

The Zero Point looks just-about ready to pop and it could mean some Island-breaking event is on the way. Again.

Could this mean that all of the beloved crossover characters are going to meet their end? Or maybe they'll be stranded on Fortnite Island?

Only time will tell.
