Epic Games has just deployed a new Maintenance Patch Update for Fortnite following the release of version 17.10 and Fortnite Season 7. Here's everything you need to know about the latest title update.
What Platform Is The Update For & When Is It Out?
The latest Fortnite Maintenance Patch Update is actually out right now! Epic Games doesn't mess around when there's an issue in Fortnite. If there's one thing they're good at nowadays, it's troubleshooting.
The new Maintenance Patch Update has been deployed on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions of Fortnite. The Nintendo Switch version of the update is in the works.
Epic Games hasn't specified how large the update is going to be, but we can't imagine it will make much of a dent in your storage space. For the most part, these are minor updates.
What Does It Do?
The latest Fortnite title update addresses a number of key issues that have emerged following the 17.10 update.
Firstly, it aims to address the stability issues Xbox One players are facing. This should help smooth out any frame rate issues and crashing instances that you might have seen following the latest update.
Secondly, it also aims to fix the Combat Pro control layout issues that you might be facing. This means, going back into the game post-Maintenance Patch, you should be able to use this button configuration without any issues.
It's a smaller update, but that doesn't make it any less important.
