Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 has been all about Hunters coming to the game.
This just means that the season has been full of collaborations skins, such as Kratos, Master Chief, Terminator, and Predator.
Season 5 is drawing to a close, but it looks like a couple more collabs can be squeezed in first.
Latest News - The Portal Is Open
The portal which will allow the next Hunter to enter the world of Fortnite has now opened.
In it, we can see the images that are below, which confirms the Street Fighter crossover.
The images are of Ryu's stage from Street Fighter 2, so it is very likely he will be the character that is added to the game.
Ryu is no stranger to crossovers, having been in other games such as Super Smash Bros.
It is possible that we may see a second Street Fighter character added too, much like when Daryl and Michonne from The Walking Dead, and T-800 and Sarah Conner from Terminator were added to the game.
Now we just need to wait for the audio transmission from Epic Games and then we will know when they will be released.
Fortnite X Street Fighter
New portals have appeared on the Fortnite map, signalling that a new Hunter will be arriving soon.
They are usually hinted at by Epic Games in an audio transmission shortly before release.
Players have uncovered the images that can be seen in the portal, this usually gives many hints as to who to expect, and it appears that Ryu from the Street Fighter series will be coming to the game next.
These images look very similar to Ryu's stage background on the classic Street Fighter 2, meaning it is very likely that the next character will be from the Street Fighter universe.
Until we receive the audio transmission from Epic Games, we won't know for sure.
But the transmission should give further clues and then the new Hunter will appear in the Item Shop the next day.
With Season 5 ending soon, this should happen over the next few days to a week.
