17.30 is out right now!
Server Downtime is over and it looks like you can finally jump into Fortnite 17.30 and check out everything the update has to offer.
It looks like the main in-game changes are relating to POI abduction and the GRAB-ITRON weapon. There's a lot of new cosmetics on the way, with various challenges and variants to complete, but Coral Castle, Slurpy Swamp, and Corny Complex are going to be undergoing a little face-lift.
Expect to see more officially soon, as the update has only just been added.
Fortnite Update 17.30 Release Date and Start Time
Fortnite update 17.30 goes live on Tuesday, August 3rd. This patch will start with some downtime beginning at 1:30am EST, likely running to 4am EST.
While none of the above is confirmed, it's in keeping with all previous major updates that Fortnite Season 7 has received.
Fortnite Update 17.30 Changes
Based on some of the leaks that have come out in recent days, we expect that the abduction of certain areas on the map will start to happen. Fortnite leaker @HYPEX has noted how the abductions will work in accordance with the movement of the Alien Mothership.
Fortnite Update 17.30 Bugs and Fixes
The best resource for seeing what bugs and fixes may be taken care of during the update is the Fortnite community Trello board.
This gives us the best idea of what fixes might be implemented during update 17.30.
Fortnite X Suicide Squad Skins
The Fortnite X Suicide Squad skins are due to drop in update 17.30 also with Bloodsport already confirmed and a possible rework for Harley Quinn's rebirth skin that will alter the hair colour to Red/Black rather than Pink/Blue
It also looks like the face of the character may have been altered slightly to more closely resemble that of actress Margot Robbie. We are still unsure if any additional characters will be added from The Suicide Squad, but if we don't get a King Shark skin, it will be a missed opportunity!
