Fortnite's 18.21 update is now live, and it's a larger update than many expected. Not only has the Cube Queen been fully revealed, but she can be spotted on the map. A new weapon, called the Sideways Scythe, has also been added, and here are all the details you need on how to get it.
Here's the weapon's official description, from the 18.21 breakdown on Epic's site:
"The Cube Queen’s wrath has given rise to a new Sideways weapon — the sinister Sideways Scythe — as well as returning items like Witch Brooms and the Pumpkin Rocket Launcher. Use the Scythe and these wicked supplies to hold your own in battle."
How to Get Sideways Scythe Weapon in Fortnite
The Sideways Scythe can be grabbed in the same way as other Sideways weapons, from looting Sideways dimensions, but it's not quite as simple as that.
You can also get a Sideways Scythe by defeating a Caretaker boss, which can now be found wandering the island.
They're huge and powerful enemies who will suck you into the Sideways world for a fight if you interrupt them. As the official description reads:
"Caretakers are The Cube Queen’s strongest warriors yet. Tall, foreboding, shadowy apparitions, their spectral tendrils pull you directly into The Sideways for a showdown on their home turf. Survive a Caretaker’s assault and you’ll walk away all the richer."
There's a high chance that a Sideways Scythe will drop when you defeat them, but it will not be easy.
