Fortnite Island has been invaded by extraterrestrial beings and Epic Games have opted to throw Rick Sanchez and Superman into the defensive line-up. They don't stand a chance, do they?

LATEST - Season 7 Has Started

The Spire has exploded, The Foundation has been thrown into the sea, and Fortnite Season 7 has started. It's not the biggest update to Fortnite Island, but there's a lot more on offer.

The new Battle Pass offers 100 Tiers of content to unlock throughout the season, there's a new batch of weapons to replace the Primal Season content, and there are quite a few new skins out there for you to look over.

If you missed the Season 7 Story Trailer, we also have that below:

Downtime Will Soon Begin

Fortnite Season 7 is just around the corner, and will bring a whole new feel to the game all around!

But before it goes live and before players can jump in and try the new changes, they'll have to wait through an extended server downtime.

This downtime will kick off at 2am EST - but in the meantime, there's plenty to catch up with around the new season!

Could Rick & Morty Be Making Their Fortnite Debut in Season 7?

It would appear so, if the show's creators Twitter activity is any indication, and noted Fortnite leaker HYPEX's assumption is correct.

Given their various interdimensional adventures, Rick & Morty would be a perfect fit for the Fortnite universe... as long as their respective dialogue can remain family-friendly!

Third & Final Teaser Released

We're now just a few hours away from the start of Season 7 of Fortnite and Epic Games has dropped the final tease.

This one teases an alien-themed skin, an item from Rick & Morty (a crossover is presumably coming), and another new weapon.

It seems like all three of these items will come to Fortnite in Season 7.

When Does Season 7 Begin?

It seems that Epic Games is no longer making a habit of delaying seasons, and Season 7 is right on schedule.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 is due to begin on Tuesday, June 8th.

Downtime for the upcoming season begins at 2am EST/7am BST, and will likely last 3 hours.

Alien-Themed Content Coming?

At the moment, there's only really one thing to talk about when it comes to the next season's theme and what content we're getting. We did say that Epic Games likes to drip-feed information, right?

As expected, the last update "activated" the UFOs hidden in-game and now players are finding themselves being abducted mid-match! Not ideal if you're going for a Victory Royale, right?

If you check out the clip below, you can see that the UFO abductions don't actually kill the player but rather displace them. It could actually be quite helpful, in a strange way.

We're expecting to see something a little more official arrive in the next few days, but for now, this is all we've got to muse over. Well, in terms of official teasers...

Teasers & Leaks

Just because Epic Games doesn't want to reveal anything yet, doesn't mean there aren't a few leaks and ARG teasers to talk about.

Earlier in the week, Fortnite Content Creators were sents ARG cards with strange symbols on and the words "They're Coming". Since then, they have figured out that the symbols relate to strange Crop Circles found across Fortnite Island.

What's more, when these circles are placed over a map of Fortnite Island they all point to The Spire. It's safe to say that whatever happens, The Spire is going to be at the heart of it.

Sadly, though... This is all we know right now. We don't know whether Epic Games are getting better at concealing their plans, or whether data miners and leakers are waiting until we're a bit closer before revealing what they know.

Either way, we don't actually have too many other leaks to discuss regarding new cosmetics, additional weapons, and any other changes you can think of.

We will keep this updated as and when that information becomes available, but be sure to keep an eye on Fortnite's official Twitter account too for anything more official.
