Fresh off the latest Fortnite patch V10.10, we may already have an idea of what is to come in the next update.
Data miners are always on the ball as soon as a major update release for Fortnite, digging through lines and lines of code they usually find everything little detail from cosmetics to new game modes. This time around they managed to leak two key things coming soon to Fortnite.
The new weapon’s capability is unknown as of now, with only leaks of what it is going to do we do not know its damage, range, etc. As for the POI, it is not a full-fledged POI, but it is an indicator of an old POI that will for sure be returning soon with this leak.

If you were an avid Fortnite player during Season 5-9 you were accustomed to the rare “Rift To Go” consumables that were found within the map but were always so hard to find. This item was a players way to get out of a sticky situation APAP along with the ability to rotate easily.
They removed the Rift To Go during the early stages of Fortnite Season 9 for an unknown reason and with the reduced mobility in Season X, many fans have been begging for its return.
It now seems as if there will be some variation of the Rift To Go implemented back into Fortnite Battle Royal. Famous Fortnite leaker and data miner Lucas7Yoshi discovered this new item within patch V10.10 and we can expect a release date soon.
Making multiple posts on Twitter with details surrounding the new item which has since been discovered its name “Junk Rift”, the new weapon seems like a variation of the Air Strike item that was implemented during Season 9. At first glance, it appears as it will be a weaker version of the Rift To Go but that appears to not be the case anymore after a new leak from Lucas7Yoshi.
The new leak suggests that when players throw the Junk Rift at their designated target it will then drop one of the following items from the sky.
A very unique concept at first glance, with actual in-game footage of what is going to happen with the Junk Rift, we can only wait and see if this new throwable is overpowered or not.
