share to other networks share to twitter share to facebook

Fortnite Chapter 3 is off to a fantastic start so far as Week 2 begins. We've got all of the seasonal quests that are now live in-game and a little detail on how to complete each of them.

In some cases, a full guide may not be possible until the quests are live and have been figured out. We'll make a note of this below and update things once the information is available.

Fortnite Week 2 Seasonal Quests Release Time

The Fortnite Week 2 Seasonal quests will go live in-game on Thursday, 16 December @ 14:00 GMT / 09:00 EST / 06:00 PST according to the timer shown in the quest menu. This is also around the time that we expect Winterfest 2021 to kick-off!

In the quest menu, it states that additional Seasonal Quests will be added before displaying a timer. As it states that the quests will be added, this leads us to believe that the Week 1 quests may not disappear at this time.

Fortnite Week 2 Quest Guide

The following is a breakdown of each of the Week 2 quests and advice on how to complete them. Where additional information is needed, we'll specify and update once the quests are live in-game. All quests will be worth 25,000 XP.

Damage opponents from 50 or more meters with the MK-Seven Assault Rifle 0/200

A nice easy quest to kick off the week as all you'll need to do is grab one of the many MK-Seven rifles you see in a match and do 200 points of damage with it from 50 meters or more. The higher the rarity of the weapon, the fewer shots you'll need to land.

If you see a player in the distance and are unsure whether they are more than 50 meters away, drop a quick ping on their position to see how far away they are.

Catch fish at Sleepy Sound or Loot Lake 0/3

Another easy task. The challenge here will be finding a fishing rod as they seem to spawn a little less frequently than in Chapter 2.

Once you have the rod, head to Sleepy Sound or Loot Late and begin fishing. For the best chance to grab a fish - and not a rusty can - try to cast your line in the areas where fish are gathered. These areas are typically bubbling or rippling on the surface of the water.

Using Spider-Man's Web-Shooters, travel 50 meters in one swing 0/1

Spider-Man's Web-Shooters are a mythic available across the map and from chests so finding them shouldn't be too hard although it may take a game or two.

Once you have them equipped, just activate the web-swinging ability and travel more than 50 meters in a single swing.

Purchase items from Characters 0/3

Track down one of the many NPCs dotted around the map and purchase an item from them using Gold Bars. Some characters will carry more expensive items than others so just make sure you don't leave yourself short if trying to complete this as quickly as possible.

Use a Med-Mist while sliding 0/1

Everyone loves the new sliding mechanic and you can do more than just fire a weapon when using it!

Grab a Med-Mist and make sure you require a little healing. Begin sliding and use the Med-Mist to complete the challenge. You only need to perform the act, not heal a certain amount of health.

Survive storm circles while carrying a weapon or Epic rarity or higher 0/4

For this quest, you'll first need to grab a weapon of Epic rarity or higher. You can also upgrade a weapon's quality using an upgrade bench but this will cost a huge amount of gold bars.

Now just survive four storm circles holding the weapon (in your inventory is fine). Progress will carry over between matches.

Stash items in a tent 0/2

Tents are quite easy to find scattered across the map and you can also claim the tents from eliminated players.

Approach one to interact with it and place two items in there to complete this quest.

Damage opponents with a Shotgun 0/1000

Another simple quest here as you just need to deal 1000 points of damage with shotguns.

You will likely achieve this naturally over multiple games or you can only use shotguns to speed up the process.

Search Chests 0/15

Finally, another very easy quest that you should have wrapped up in 3/4 matches as you just need to find and open 15 chests.

Chests are easier to spot and have a higher spawn rate in built-up areas and named locations.
