New 16.40 Update Downtime Starts

It's time for another Fortnite title update! We're expecting to see new vehicle mods, a change-around of the current weapons selection in-game any maybe even an expansion of the mod system to weapons or equipment. Epic Games are being a bit quite about things.

Right now, Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite is going offline to apply the update on their end of things.

In terms of the actual update, all we know so far is that The Dub, the Exotic Shotgun, is being vaulted and there's a new Exotic Marksman, Six Shooter, joining the game.

Keep an eye on FortniteStatus for the latest. The downtime is expected to last at least an hour.

An unreleased blog post on has been leaked, which indicates that DC's Beast Boy will be coming to the Item Shop, or players can take part in the Teen Titans Cup to unlock him early.

The title of the blog reads, "DCs Beast Boy Unites With Raven in Fortnite! Compete to Unlock His Outfit Early With The Teen Titans Cup."

This would indicate that the tournament will be a Duos tournament, although this hasn't been confirmed by Epic Game.

Original Batman Bundle Returning

According to iFireMonkey, the Batman Caped Crusader Pack is being promoted on Nintendo's Eshop.

This was the original Batman bundle that was released during Chapter 1 Season X when Gotham City briefly replaced Tilted Towers.

With a new Batman skin coming to the game, it is possible we will see previous Batman skins return alongside it.
