Sign these youngsters at the right time and you'll reap the rewards further down the line.

Wonderkid AMC

There is a fine line between youngsters and wonderkids.

Here is how we define them.

A wonderkid is anyone who begins FM21 as a teenager, with youngsters classified as anyone up to the age of 23.

The wonderkids in this list will be listed in terms of their potential ability (PA). A high-rated current ability (CA) is a bonus, but not a gamechanger.

Let's get stuck in!

Pedri (CA 138 - PA Range 160-190)

The very best wonderkid AMC on FM21 is Barcelona's Pedri.

The 17-year-old has the potential to rise to the 160-190 ballpark, which would stand him in good stead amongst the world's best.

He's only just moved to the Spanish giants, so picking him up may prove tricky, but it's worth a shot for sure.

Yusuf Demir (CA 115 - PA Range 160-190)

Age: 17

Club: Rapid Vienna

Best Attributes: 13-18 Flair, 14 Acceleration, 12-18 Technique

Value: £1.1M

Wage: £625 p/w

If you've got a tight budget, then Yusuf Demir provides a cheaper alternative to Pedri.

The Rapid Vienna attacking midfielder has the potential to jump into that 160-190 range, but comes at a fraction of the price with a weekly wage of just £625 p/w.

He won't be as good to begin with, but that shouldn't prove too much of an issue for those further down the divisions.

Giovanni Reyna (CA 132 - PA Range 150-180)

Age: 17

Club: Borussia Dortmund

Best Attributes: 14-20 Agility, 14-20 Dribbling, 14-19 Vision

Now to another player with a reasonable starting rating and the ability to grow massively.

Borussia Dortmund are known for developing youngsters, and in American Giovanni Reyna, they have another top talent.

The 17-year-old American has an incredible ability with the ball at his feet, with the potential for that agility and dribbling to grow to a maxed-out 20 OVR should he find his form!

Mohammed Ihattaren (CA 130 - PA Range 150-180)

Age: 18

Club: PSV

Best Attributes: 17-20 Technique, 13-19 First Touch, 14-18 Long Shots

Value: £5.5M

Wage: £5.25k

And again, a cheaper alternative to Reyna is PSV's Mohammed Ihattaren.

The Dutch youngster has a slightly higher value, but a significantly lower wage per week, which means you'll save plenty in the long run.

With a 14-18 Long Shot, you'll be picking up an ambitious youngster who should chip in with plenty of goals!

Reinier (CA 125 - PA Range 150-180)

Age: 18

Club: Real Madrid B

Best Attributes: 15-20 Technique, 12-18 Natural Fitness, 12-18 Passing

Real Madrid are another side known for bringing youngsters through the ranks, with Brazilian youngster Reinier another who could see the big time soon.

The 18-year-old is currently on a season-long loan with Borussia Dortmund. Another reason to start a save with the German giants and pick Reinier up on a permanent following the conclusion of his loan perhaps?

Naci Unuvar (CA 97 - PA Range 150-180)

Age: 17

Club: AFC Ajax

Best Attributes: 17-20 Technique, 14-20 Finishing, 14-18 Natural Fitness

Now if you're willing to play the long game, then Ajax's Naci Unuvar could be a great option.

The 17-year-old Ajax wonderkid will begin your FM save with a measly 97-rated CA - which is reflected by his incredibly low value and weekly wage.

If you're taking charge at a lower league club, then this could be the signing for you!

Angel Gomes (CA 138 - PA Range 140-170)

expand image

Age: 19

Club: LOSC Lille

Best Attributes: 17-20 Technique, 17-20 Flair, 15-19 Acceleration

Value: £10.5M

Wage: N/A

The final name in the list is one that will be familiar to United fans, that of English youngster, Angel Gomes.

The 19-year-old is now plying his trade over in France with LOSC Lille and, with a starting rating of 138 and the potential to rise as high as a 170 OVR, United may be ruing their decision further down the line.

His £10.5M valuation is fair given that he has the ability to jump into a starting lineup straight off the bat.
