The FIFA 23 reveal trailer showcased some incredible gameplay, with HyperMotion2 set to take the new game by storm.
The reveal trailer also showcased Cross-Play as a new feature in FIFA 23, revealing all the modes compatible with this new feature.
The Pro Clubs community has been understandably frustrated with their omission from this group, and EA has now responded in Pitch Notes.

Richard Walz, gameplay design director for Pro Clubs and VOLTA has released the following statement regarding Pro Club's Cross-Play omission in FIFA 23:
I share your desire to see cross-play in Pro Clubs, and understand the frustrations for not seeing it included in the launch of FIFA 23. While we're excited with the first steps to bring new cross-play features to FIFA 23, we also recognize what cross-play functionality could mean to the Pro Clubs mode with the potential for improving matchmaking and allowing friends from different platforms of the same generation to play together.
With the scale of such an important feature, our goal is to bring you the best possible experiences.As we look at our cross-play future, we’re focused on matchmaking in Pro Clubs, VOLTA, and FUT Co-op, as well as cross-platform lobby invites and ultimately cross-platform Pro Clubs.
We’re eager to provide updates in the future as the team continues to execute the plan for the future of cross-play. We love the passion of our community, and you help strengthen our resolve to push the mode forward and to bring quality changes for you to enjoy as players.
Whilst this statement doesn't give any indication that Pro Clubs will be included in cross-play during FIFA 23, it does give hope for the future for fans of the mode.
Cross-Play Exclusions
VFL, the self-titled home of Pro Clubs, has taken to Twitter to pen a strongly worded statement regarding EA's decision to exclude Pro Clubs from the list of Cross-Play compatible game modes in FIFA 23.
The statement details the many years of frustration that Pro Clubs players have felt, demanding answers from FIFA 23's developers.
VFL have suggested in their statement that this recent decision to exclude Pro Clubs from cross-play compatibility will now see the game mode die, with yet another oversight seeing modes other than Ultimate Team desperately suffer.
#SaveProClubs is the cry from VFL, who are demanding that EA Sports provide answers.
Similar to the anger we saw amongst the FIFA Career Mode community a few years back, we could see yet another revolt, as EA's focus on the half-baked implementation of new features failing to cut the mustard.
