With the summer transfer window opening soon and rumours circulating surrounding some of the biggest names in world football, we could see some of the best Ones to Watch cards ever in FIFA 23.
Sadio Mane (OVR 90)
Sadio Mane is in high demand this summer and he’s met that with large demands for wages.
Liverpool will push for a new contract this summer, of course, but might have to pay over £300,000 a week to get it done, with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain said to be interested in the Senegalese winger.
Paul Pogba (OVR 85)
Paul Pogba looks set to leave Manchester United for free once his contract runs out this summer for the second time in his career.
The French World Cup winner has been linked with a number of clubs including PSG but it looks as though Real Madrid is his most likely destination.
Frenkie De Jong (OVR 86)
Barcelona's continued financial struggles could benefit Manchester United as Frenkie De Jong looks set to be pushed out the door at his current club.
New United boss Erik ten Hag would love to be reunited with his former Ajax player and the Dutch international would be a great replacement for Pogba.
Gabriel Jesus (OVR 84)
Multiple reports suggest that Arsenal are working on a deal to sign Manchester City's Brazillian forward Gabriel Jesus, who has just one year left on his current contract.
Man City's signing of Erling Haaland has opened the door for Jesus to leave the Etihad and join up with Brazil international teammates Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Magalhaes.
Antonio Rudiger (OVR 87)
This one is all but confirmed... Antonio Rudiger is set to trade London for sunny Spain as he joins Real Madrid this summer.
The German centre-half's contract ran down at Chelsea and he will be signing a reported four-year deal on a free transfer.
Ones to Watch cards explained
Ones to Watch cards have featured in the past couple of Ultimate Team seasons, and if it is anything like FUT 22 then it will be the first set of special cards on the new game.
The cards included are selected from the top summer transfers and are given dynamic ratings that increase with every selection in Team of the Week as well as on a 'wins to watch' basis.
How do OTW card upgrades work?
We expect Ones to Watch card upgrades to work in the same way that they did in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.
If you are not sure how they work, then take a look at EA's summary below as there are some changes to the previous editions.
"As players show off their skills on the pitch for their new club, their Ones To Watch item will upgrade when they receive a performance-based in-form item such as Team of the Week and Man of the Match.
"New in FUT 22, OTW items will also be eligible for a ‘Wins to Watch’ upgrade, a one-time +1 In-Form boost if a team wins five matches out of their next ten domestic league games starting from October 1!"
