FIFA 23 News: Another SIX new FUT Heroes announced - TWO Icons DOWNGRADED

FIFA 23 is fast approaching, with more news and rumours coming out every day.

More new FUT Heroes have been confirmed, with the EA/Marvel partnership giving them a comic makeover.

Check below to find out the new players that will feature in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.

The Heroes Keep Coming

Throughout the week EA and Marvel have been announcing additional FUT Hero cards that will be introduced in the next game, with another six revealed today.

HEROES CLUB - Six new FUT Heroes have been announced

A couple from this batch - Hidetoshi Nakata and Jay-Jay Okocha - have had their Icon status taken away, helping them stay relevant with the new chemistry system coming to the game.

The full list of Heroes revealed is:

  • Rudi Voller as "The Flying German"
  • Hidetoshi Nakata as "Stealth Agent 78"
  • Jay-Jay Okocha as "Double Take"
  • Joan Capdevila as "The Backfield Bull"
  • Wlodzimierz Smolarek as "Phase Shift"
  • Saeed Al-Owairan as "The Emerald Falcon"

These stars will join the likes of Yaya Toure, Lucio and Landon Donovan, with 21 new FUT Hero cards announced - could more be on the way?

What are FUT Heroes?

FUT Heroes were introduced in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team and are similar to Icons, although their chemistry links work for those that share the same league.

HEROIC MOMENTS - FUT Heroes are here!

They are like minor Icons, with decent stats, but a notch below the best cards in the game, although they did get upgrades throughout the campaign in a couple of promos.

With the chemistry system change coming in FUT 23, FUT Heroes could become a vital part of squad building.
